Pep Guardiola has set his sights on signing Sergio Busquets from FC Barcelona. The Manchester City manager is looking for a replacement for Yaya Toure and has now identified the Spaniard as the ideal one.
Busquets has a long-term contract at the Catalan club but might opt for a move to the Etihad is Guardiola calls according to reports. A move in the summer is expected if the clubs agree on a fee. It's reported that Manchester City are plotting a £65 million bid for him but Barcelona will demand at least £80 million.
The midfielder is set for a spell on the sidelines after he sprained his ankle ligaments during Barcelona's 4-0 win at Eibar.
