FULL TIME: MAN CITY 3-1 ARSENAL

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus give Pep Guardiola's side all three points. City are now eight points ahead of Manchester United (who play Chelsea later today).

Arsenal's only goal came from Alexandre Lacazette. They drop down to sixth place as Liverpool have the same goal difference but scored one more goal than the Gunners.

90+2' Ozil, who has been booked, has just barged into Delph with his eyes only on the player and not the ball launched by Cech from his own box. The referee doesn't book him again but Ozil is clearly furious and frustrated with this result.

FOUR MINUTES ADDED ON!

90' It's 'Ole' time at the Etihad as each completed pass is cheered on by the fans. They string a dozen passes together before Kolasinac has had enough and concedes a foul to stop the move.

88' Giroud gets involved and attempts to recreate the goal against Norwich City with some fine hold-up play but City are up to the task with a clearance that almost initiates another counter-attack, snuffed out by Arsenal with yet another interception.

SUBSTITUTION: Man City

Leroy Sane is withdrawn for Bernardo Silva.

85' City fans in full voice now. They truly are seeing a special team that has been coached very well by Guardiola. Every player has done well today and they have played as a unit - a stark contrast to Arsenal's disjointed performance.

82' Koscielny makes another crucial interception before Sane can race through on goal on yet another City counter-attack. City still have the ball though, and they're drawing Arsenal out by keeping possession to help create space for their front three to exploit.

80' City in total control now. They're also able to disrupt Arsenal's rhythm whenever they get the ball, preventing any attacks with some tactical fouling.

Double change for Wenger as Alex Iwobi and Granit Xhaka are withdrawn for Olivier Giroud and Jack Wilshere.

SUBSTITUTION: Man City

Guardiola wants to protect this lead and he takes off Raheem Sterling for Ilkay Gindogan.

David Silva slips past the Arsenal back-line and manages to stay onside (according to the linesman). As Arsenal wait for the flag to go up, Silva feeds Gabriel Jesus in the six-yard box and it's a simple tap-in for Jesus.

Replays show Silva may have been offside but it was a very tough call to make.

74' GOOOAAALLL! Man City 3-1 Arsenal

73' Stones tries to initiate an attack by accelerating forward but is quickly stripped of the ball. But before Arsenal can counter, Walker steps in from his position on the right and kills the attack with a crucial interception.

71' Lacazette is down after a challenge but the ref allow Arsenal to play on even though the linesman's flag is up. Arsenal manage to put the ball into the box but there's nobody in the box to put it away since Lacazette was down by the touchline.

68' JESUSSSS... SAVED! A City corner sees the ball fall to Jesus at the far post and his shot is fired with power. But Cech gets down quickly to prevent it from going over the line. Fine save!

67' Yet another Arsenal corner leads to a City counter-attack and Koscielny hacks De Bruyne down to prevent any further damage. He's got a yellow card for his cynical foul but that's what we call in football parlance a 'professional foul'.

Aaron Ramsey leads another Arsenal attack through midfield and then feeds Alexandre Lacazette the ball. The French striker fires a shot past the reeling Otamendi and beats Ederson to find the bottom corner.

GOOOAAAALLL! Man City 2-1 Arsenal

63' It's end-to-end now, Silva's pass is snuffed out by Monreal and Arsenal counter now. But City respond by recovering quickly and setting up their back-line like recruits at boot camp who have just seen their drill sergeant coming around the corner.

SUBSTITUTION: Man City

Aguero is withdrawn after scoring his 99th goal at the Etihad and Guardiola has brought on Gabriel Jesus to wreak more havoc on the Arsenal defence.

59' Ozil almost finds Ramsey inside the box with a pass out wide but Ramsey can't get to it as Ederson also comes off his line to prevent a cross or shot on goal.

SUBSTITUTION: Arsenal

Coquelin is withdrawn as Alexandre Lacazette takes his place. The midfielder was Arsenal's best player so far.

55' Iwobiiiii... Ederson nearly makes a mess of it! A long range strike sees the ball almost slip past his fingers but as he recovers, Ramsey barges into him and pushes him over the line with the ball in his hands. But the referee has called that a foul. Rightly so.

53' Coquelin thwarts yet another counter-attack with a superb tackle on De Bruyne. City were on their way with Sterling and Sane switching on their afterburners.

52' Wenger stands on the touchline wondering how he can unlock City's defence. He has a number of attacking players on the bench - Giroud and Lacazette are both warming up.

Sergio Aguero steps up and with his new golden boots he fires it past Cech and the ball comes off the inside of the post to find the back of the net. 2-0 to City.

49' PENALTY! Monreal brings down Sterling in the box.

Sterling timed his run well while Kolasinac stepped up too late. Monreal tries to cover for him and brings him down in the process.

47' It looks like Wenger has fired up his players to press higher and harder. It's not just Alexis pressing City's defence in the final third. They're pressing as a team.

Kevin De Bruyne scores the opening goal that sees City lead 1-0 at half-time

HALF-TIME: Man City 1-0 Arsenal

Kevin De Bruyne's goal is what separates these two sides on the socreboard but it has been all City in the first half with Arsenal rarely creating decent opportunities to get a shot on target, let alone score.

45+1' Ramseyyyy... SAVE! A rare Arsenal counter-attack sees Alexis find the Welshman inside the box. The midfielder sets himself up for a shot but Ederson goes low to make a fine block to deny the visitors.

44' Alexis is guilty of yet another wayward pass that allows City to counter. This has become a major talking point in the first half. Arsenal have rarely got an opportunity in the final third and the Chilean's passes have been counter-productive.

42' Brilliant tackle from Coquelin to stop Sane in his tracks after he'd skipped past three players. But it all started from a poor Alexis corner that allowed City to counter while Arsenal's centre-backs were in City's box.

40' City are running circles around Arsenal now. And the Gunners are making it too easy for them with their lack of anticipation in midfield.

38' City get another chance as Walker puts in a lethal cross. Koscielny is on hand to prevent Aguero from getting to it while Cech's block prevents the defender form scoring an own goal. Arsenal survive yet again!

35' Oh dear, Sterling! A City counter-attack sees Sterling and Sane two-on-one with Koscielny abut Sterling's pass across the box is so wide off target that Guardiola is screaming on the touchline! The Catalan manager then throws himself on to the vacant seat, cursing that missed chance to double the lead.

33' Another let off for Arsenal! David Silva gets to the goal line and puts in a lethal cross but nobody was in the six-yard box to put it away. Sterling was in the box but he was in two minds, which cost him a chance to put away the easiest of tap-ins.

32' City press up and force Coquelin into an error. The French defensive midfielder was in trouble there and he quickly clears the ball, conceding a throw-in, much to the home crowd's delight.

30' City are dominating possession here. Arsenal have tried to win the ball back but City's players are well-positioned to win it back. Alexis being the lone player up front isn't helping while Granit Xhaka is urging his full-backs to push up a bit to aid in circulating the ball and keep possession.

28' Corner for City. Sterling's cross takes a big deflection from Monreal and it gives Cech problems as it goes close to the bar. But City's corner comes to nothing.

26' Kevin De Bruyne uses his bag of tricks to skip past Monreal's tackle but his cross into the box is headed away for a throw-in. What is Monreal doing so far up the pitch when Kolasinac is already ahead of him?

25' Sane gets another chance as Arsenal scramble to get back but Laurent Koscielny bullies him off the ball with ease.

At the other end, Alexis tries to play through Ozil but his touch is a bit heavy, allowing Ederson to come out and collect before the German can get to the ball.

23' Francis Coquelin loses the ball to Leroy Sane in a dangerous are outside the box but he makes up for it immediately with a finely-timed tackle to stop the ball dead.

22' The Gunners are rattled and City are making good use of space all over the pitch. Fabien Delph makes a run through midfield for City and they've won a corner. But nothing comes of it as Arsenal clear.

Kevin De Bruyne initially tests Cech with a long range effort that is saved but he gets another chance when he plays a one-two with Fernandinho. His low shot is to Cech's left and he finds the bottom corner to give City the lead.
