SUNDERLAND BOSS DAVID MOYES IS ADAMANT JERMAIN DEFOE IS NOT FOR SALE AT ANY PRICE!
“I don’t think there’s any transfer fee because we know that Jermain’s goals are so priceless to us. I wouldn’t even think about where we’d be without him. His stats for 2016 show he’s been brilliant," he said. “I’m not saying we’re getting the best out of him because he’s had a great career and he’s scored a lot of goals, but nobody can turn around and say they can see a demise in him. You can only see someone who will
keep going.”

MOYES FEELS HE WAS UNFAIRLY TREATED BY UNITED!
“I was definitely unfairly treated," Sunderland boss David Moyes said. “I actually think whoever follows on after Sir Alex Ferguson, whether it had been Jose Mourinho then, Carlo Ancelotti, Jurgen Klopp – whoever you want to name - or David Moyes, I think it would have been the same. I think it would have taken time to change the squad. They had great players Man Utd – one or two getting near to their end of their career. It was going to be a little bit of a building job. It was never going to get done immediately.”

'NO NEED TO SELL VAN DIJK'
Claude Puel insists Southampton can resist whatever cash is waved in front of them for Virgil van Dijk next month after reports linking him to an eye-watering £50m move to Manchester City. "I think, for example, for Virgil the price will be the same in two or three years," said the Saints boss. "He can stay for two or three years with us. He's an important player for the team. Also, along with Jose Fonte and Steven Davis, he is a captain of the team. He has a good personality, strong character, quality, and of course he will stay with us."
