Germany took an early lead through Arp. Guinea hit back through Soumah. Germany again led through Kun and the final nail on the coffin was hit by Chetin.

Iran has meanwhile beaten Costa Rica by 3-0 in Goa and have qualified as well.

Guinea and Costa Rica are now out of the tournament.

Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the FIFA U17 World Cup.

Today's featured match pits Germany against Guinea. Both Guinea and Germany dropped points in their previous games against Costa Rica and Iran respectively. With Iran having already qualified, Group C is so poised that any of the three other teams - Germany, Guinea, Costa Rica - could qualify to the knockouts.

The Germans are on the back of a shock 4-0 defeat to Iran and head coach Christian Wuck is under severe pressure to regroup his charges before what is a pivotal fixture for them. Guinea might not boast too strong a firepower, but they have scored more goals than Germany in the tournament and conceded five times - the same as their today's opponents.

In what could be one of the games of the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017, Germany can ill-afford to be complacent and a disciplined performance is what can be expected from Wuck's team. That said, African teams are traditionally strong at age-group tournaments and Germany have never won the U17 World Cup ever, so you wouldn't want to rule out an upset.
