Manchester United go through 3-2 aggregate.

A dour United side have been defeated for the first time in nearly months - ending a 17 game unbeaten streak - but it't the larger picture that counts.. and Pogba has just ensured that Manchester United will face off against Southampton in the EFL Cup final.

Despite my reservations after watching the first twenty horrible minutes, this was a fairly entertaining game to cover. Thank you for sticking around!

92' Zlatan tries to pick out Rooney, but his ball is easily intercepted. He tries again, but the Englishman has strolled offside. This gives Mourinho the chance to take off Rashford and bring on... ding! ding! ding! we have a winner.. Marouane Fellaini

91' Rooney and Ibra try to be too intircate with their passing and it allows Hull City to recover possession and break. This counter, though, ends harmlessly. There will be three minutes of added time!

88' Hull fans have found their voices again as their team press forward in desperate search of a goal that would take this game into Extra Time. It's all being led by the indomitable Oumar Niassse who is everywhere!!

87' Rojo flies into a challenge with trademark 'gusto' but it was not all that bad, but it certainly deserved a booking.. and Moss obliges.

That came a little out of the blue, but what a goal!! Markovic picked out a flying Meyler down the right where he was inexplicably left with acres of space. He wasted no time in placing a lovely first time cushioned pass onto the path of Niasse, who could hardly miss from there.

83' Rashford is absolutely terrorising Tymon down that right flank now. This time he manages to work the ball across to Paul Pogba whose low whipped delivery is just about frantically cleared by Dawson and Marshall before Zlatan can tap it... Never mind, the ref had blown (wrongly as it turns out) for offside on Pogba.

82' Rashford is tugged back by Tymon who knows he is well and truly beaten. Again, could - and should - have been a yellow/

80' Rashford ghosts past two Hull players down the wing, and then the touchline, but the introduction of a third in the form of Harry Maguire sees him lose the ball out. What pace this lad has though... UFF

79' Hull win a succession of corners as Niasse finds new pace in his legs following his superb effort.. but this time Evandro's deadly looking delivery is well headed away by Darmian.

71' Niasse tries to bundle his way into the box, but only ends up bundling Smalling over. United look far more relaxed on and off the ball now.

69' Zlatan tries to play Rashford in quickly, but its a rather rash ball and it runs out harmlessly. Hull make their third and final substitution as Diomande goes to be replaced by Abel Hernandez

67' Rashford tries to take the long way around Meyler (think Bale v Maicon) but the Hull man is too wily a customer to let that happen and wins a freekick. The ball is soon back at United feet though...

What a move. Finally the men in white put together a good series of passes that started with Carrick to Ibrahimovic then Zlatan to Rashford and ended up with Paul Pogba sliding in to tap the ball into the back of the net. 1-1 on the day, and 3-1 on aggregate. That really ought to be that.

64' Another loose pass leads to a Hull goal kick and Hull use this opportunity to introduce yet another one of their new recruits - the Brazilian Evandro, formerly of Porto. He comes on in place of Shaun Maloney

63' Lingard and Rashford combine well to get in behind Hull's defence - after a De Gea punt up the field - but the young striker had wandered a good foot offside.

61' Ibrahimovic sparks another attack and Rashford ghosts past Meyler before going down in the box - as the old cliche goes, I've seen those given. A loose Darmian touch gifts Hull the possession.

59' Rashford does his defensive duties and wins a throw off the marauding Meyler. Meanwhile SUBSTITUTION as the rather impressive Jared Bowen comes of for yet another one of Hull's intriguing new signings - Lazar Markovic

57' A high foot from Rojo gives Clucas to whip the ball in from a fairly dangerous position. Darmian heads it away, but Hull have the ball at their feet and are building some momentum of their own.

56' United seem injected with a fresh bit of adrenaline, but an agricultural hack from Darmian that gives possession away has Zlatan screaming expetive in... probably Italian - so the right back can understand him better.

55' A fourth corner leads to more concentrated United pressure before Bowen holds off Rashford and wins the goalkick. The two then get into a little bit of physical confrontation, but it all simmers down pretty quickly

54' OH MY CONTROVERSY THY NAME IS JON MOSS! Chris Smalling is pushed over by Tom Huddelstone like he is a crate of Coke and the Englishman is a Tamilian particular upset with the beverages giant. Poor, poor, officiating.

53' That one leads to yet another as Carrick pumps it back in from the original setpiece. This time Harry Maguire tries to be a little too fancy and concedes a third straight corner.

52' Arguably United's best move of the game ends with Rojo finding Lingard with a sliderule pass and thhe Englishman worrying Meyler before winning a corner.

51' Niasse tries to whip a cross into the box. It ends up clattering into someone behind United's goal.

49' Rashford is a touch too over exuberant as he tries to harry and hustle Meyler, and gives away the freekick. From it, Niasse gives Jones a scare by chasing a long ball, but the Englishman maintains a calm head to play it out. Hull are dominating Man United all over again - I cant understand the timidity of what is on paper the palpably superior team.

48' Carrick has just had a clash with Diamonde and the big Hull striker is in need of the attentions of the medical staff. From the resulting freekick, Maloney whips in a ball that is comfortably cleared by Jones

47' Rashford tries to make thinks happen, as is his wont, but Hull are holding firm. Pogba goes down after what looked like a blatant trip in the box! Ok, my ill eyes have just deceived me... that was a blatant dive. Come on Paul, you are better than that.

Mourinho has just stomped out of the tunnel with the look of a man who wants to kill everyone in sight. He will be furious with his players - and the referee for what is without a doubt a terrible decision.

46' AIY AIY AIY! LINGARD! Pogba picks him out with a delicious scoop, but with only the goalkeeper to beat, his first touch lets him down - it was a tough chance, but those are the kind of chances that United need to bury if they are to become the club they aspire to be.

44' Hull are looking visibly superior at the moment, and are making all the right moves across the length of the pitch. Tymon almost manages to power past Darmian on the left, but the Italian is NOT getting beaten there. Goal kick for United

42' Pogba tries a trick down the right, but it isn't fooling anyone - least of all Tymon. Hull launch an attack again, but a loose Clucas ball puts an end to that.

41' Niasse is making things happen down the right, but the move ends when Maloney tries a flamboyant no-look pass. Goes to show just how good Hull are feeling about themselves
