A late late strike from Wilis Plaza wins it for East Bengal as they win 3-2 on the night against Churchill Brothers who put in a good performance but could not hold on till the end.

95' - PLAZA HAS WON IT!!!! The final corner for the home side as Plaza manages to head the ball for the winner from Yusa's corner. What a turnaround it has been for the home side with Plaza scoring at the death of both the halfs.

95' - SO CLOSE!! De Souza finds Plaza on the run in the box but Kithan saves the effort.

94' - Final change for Churchill Brothers as Eric Nwaimo makes way for Franko Paul.

93' - Yusa explodes in frustration as a cross from the Japanese man isn't headed properly by the East Bengal frontman in another chance for the Red and Golds to get the winner.

92' - Peter is down on the pitch as he receives a knock on his neck and is protesting to the referee as he asks the Nigerian to get on with the game.

90+1' - Plaza is close again!! A chance for the Trinidadian but his shot sails over the goal as he complains for a corner but the ref gives the goal-kick for Churchill Brothers.

88' - A good ball into the box from Al-Amna from the free-kick and Plaza heads the ball but Kithan dives and saves it.

88' - Kalu Ogba fouls Wilis Plaza as he was on his way on a dangerous run towards the Churchill Brothers goal. A professional foul from the debutante.

87' - CLOSE!! Peter latches onto a clearance from the corner by Plaza and gets a sweet connection but the ball rises and is out for a goal-kick.

85'- Plaza is booked for a foul on Israil Gurung as the winger tries to cut inside the box and the striker went clattering in on the Churchill man.

84' - Nicholas Fernandes takes a long-range effort from outside the box as Mirshad makes a good save and puts the ball out for a corner.

79' - Incredibly worked move from East Bengal as Al-Amna is at the end of it and takes a long-range punt but Kithan rises well to save the shot and unfortunately has been hurt in the process. The medical stuff rushes in to attend to the Churchill keeper.

77' - Alber Gonsalves makes another substitute experience as he replaces Joshuah Vaz, who was earlier subbed in for Meitei.

77' - Eduardo Ferreira is involved in a clash of heads as he is taken out of the field with a ice pack on his head.

75' - Good work from Plaza as he runs ahead and catches the ball, finds Salam Singh who puts in an inviting ball but nobody gets on the end of it. Frustrating stuff !!

73' - CLOSE!!! Yusa puts in a good cross from the right and Plaza heads it down and is on target but Kithan puts it over for a corner. East Bengal have piled up the pressure as we are in for a exciting 15 minutes ahead in the match.

72' - Ralte is in the box on the right and takes a shot but Kithan saves it and palms it away for a corner as Yusa rushes to take the flag-kick.

72' - Charles De Souza, the second striker is subbed in as Jamil goes all out for the winner. Bazie Armand is the man out for East Bengal.

70' - CLOSE!!! Ralte puts in a good cross and Yusa rises to head the ball but is wide off the target. East Bengal knocking on the door for the winner now.

Cavin Lobo makes way for India midfielder Mohd. Rafique as East Bengal look for the win as just over 20 minutes left.

65' - Yusa with a good run on the left wing and a cross in the danger area but the Churchill defense clears the ball away for a corner.

60' - GOAL!! Churchill Brothers are equal again!! Prakash Sarkar is unable to deal with the long ball and Fernandes perfectly lobs the ball over Mirsahd to equalize for the Goan side. Against the run of play as East Bengal were looking dominant so far in the half.

55' - After Ralte, the other goal-scorer Peter goes into the ref's books for a stamp on the trailing leg of Al-Amna who was on a run along the left wing.

54' - Ralte is through on the right wing after a good counter from the home side and Ralte goes down in the box and the ref books him for simulation. Unlucky for the KEB winger as it looked like a fair challenge and wasn't an intentional dive.

51' - Wilis Plaza looks confident on the ball after his goal in the first half that has given him much-needed confidence after a dry spell in the Hero I-League.

46' - And we're up and running in the second half as East Bengal are up 2-1 ahead in the match as Churchill Brothers will hope to get going in the final 45 minutes.

A late strike from Plaza makes the difference in Kolkata as an evenly contested half comes to an end in Barasat Stadium with two quick goals in the first half had got the game going.

45+2' - PLAZA!!! Finally, the East Bengal scores this season in the I-League as he gets on the end of a cross from Yusa on the left and heads the ball to give Khalid Jamil's side the lead in the dying seconds of the first half. What a time to score!!

45' - Two minutes of added time has been indicated by the fourth official as the score stands 1-1 at the Barasat Stadium in Kolkata.

43' - Eric Nwaimo takes down Al-Amna with a rash challenge and the crowd calls for a card but the ref lets Eric off with a warning as Al-Amna protests.

40' - Five minutes to go in the half as Eric Nwaimo is down on the pitch with a knock on the head as the physio rushes to the pitch and the play is stopped.

39' - PLAZA!! Yusa makes a run into the box and the ball falls to Plaza after coming off a Churchill Brothers defender but Plaza is unable to finish the chance and the ball is with the Churchill keeper.

38' - Uttam Rai gets through on the corner after Yusa's corner but his shot is blocked after he cuts in from the left. Mondal clears the danger and the ball is out for a throw-in.

37'- SO CLOSE!!! Sarkar crosses in from the right and Kithan is unable to judge it and the ball hits the crossbar and then the defense clear it out for a corner. Yusa to take the corner.

27' - Signs of worry for Churchill Brothers as Denechandran Meitei is down again and calls for a substitution. Fernandes makes the change and puts in Joshuah Vaz in place of Meitei.

23' - The referee has stopped play as Denechandran Meitei has gone down with a supposed injury as the medical stuff stretcher him off the pitch.

21' - Action in the Churchill box as Ralte manages to cross the ball off-balance but Kithan is unable to deal with it and the ball falls to Katsumi Yusa who is unable to head it on the move. Churchill Brothers escape!!

17' - ALL SQUARE AGAIN!! Katsumi Yusa cuts in from the left and passes it to Plaza who spots Ralte's run who finishes it well past Kithan as he grabs his third goal in two matches. Great spirit from the home side.

15'- GOAL!!! Churchill have broken the deadlock. A cross from the right is not cleared well by Mondal and Gurung latches onto it and lays it up for Nigerian Peter who finishes well into the top right corner as Mirshad is unable to keep it out.

13'- Al-Amna makes a run on the right and comes into the box getting away from Suraj but Monday is there again with the tackle and the ball goes out for a corner.

11' - CLOSE!! Peter has a shot at the East Bengal but he delays the shot and Mirshad is able to come out and manage the danger. Chance wasted by the away side.

8' - First chance for Churchill Brothers as former Mohun Bagan player Uttam Rai tests Mirshad K in the goal from distance. The keeper parried the ball away for a corner.

2' - Cavin Lobo, East Bengal midfielder is down hurt as he clutches his neck after a clash with a defender in his attempt to take a shot. Early jitters for Khalid Jamil on the sidelines.

1' - First chance for the hosts as Al-Amna's run is found by Armand but the Syrian is tackled well by Monday and the ball is out for a corner.
