What an exciting affair it was. Gokulam started well but couldn't maintain their supremacy. They sit back and allowed Mohun Bagan to take the control of the match. Mohun Bagan dominated possession and got the goal through Henry Kisekka, the former Gokulam man.
Gokulam came out in a different avatar in the second half as they created quite a few chances within the first five minutes. However, it was the introduction of Rajesh S that changed the complexion of the game. Rajesh, with his brilliant pace and ball control ability, posed a great danger for Mohun Bagan defence.
The green and maroon defenders looked solid throughout the match but couldn't avoid the equalizer. Gokulam dominated the game in the second half and could've scored more had they not missed the opportunities.
In the end, it was another 1-1 in this stadium between the two sides. Mohun Bagan have failed to register a victory against Gokulam in three meetings. They will surely be looking for full points in their next match on November 3, when they host Aizawl FC. Gokulam will travel on other side of the country to Imphal, when they face Neroca.

The game saw a fast start. Gokulam started attacking right from the word go with Musa and German had two glorious chances to put their team ahead. However, after the first ten minutes, Gokulam changed their strategy quite mysteriously.
They allowed Mohun Bagan to come to their own half and show their skills, which the green-and-maroons did and after wasting quite a few chances, they deservedly got the lead.
Gokulam need to regroup within the next few minutes in order to get a win or at least a draw in their first match of the season. Mohun Bagan will be looking to increase the margin.
