Tursunov opened the match with an exciting goal in the first thirty seconds of the match and TRAU dominated the first half but Real Kashmir FC came out in the second half and put on an impressive display as Mason Roberston equalized from a Sena Ralte free-kick with 20 minutes left on the clock. Lukman Abefemi could have won the match in injury time but hit his shot wide from 10 yards very disappointingly for his teammates.

90+1' Dicka lays the ball off for Lukman and the striker somehow misses the target from 10 yards and the head coach won't be happy as the striker has effectively dropped 2 points here.

90' Joseph Mayoma makes a lovely run to be at the end of a precise through pass and it looked to have opened up the Real Kashmir defense but the assistant referee raises his flag and it's called offside. FOUR MINUTES OF INJURY TIME ADDED ON!

86' A through ball from Lukman to find Dicka is intercepted by the goalkeeper but he doesn't hold on to the ball and just gets back in time but Dicka's shot is blocked. Farhan Ganie fires over the crossbar from the resulting corner.

82' Another substitution for TRAU as Kishan Singh is replaced by Netrajit Singh in the hope of a late winner here.

80' Abhash Thapa plays a through ball to Dicka and the 31-year old goes for it with his left foot and misses the target completely.

78' Lukman gets a shot off from the edge of the penalty area but the TRAU goalkeeper stands tall and makes the necessary save to keep the score at 1-1.

75' Farhan Ganie's free-kick goes straight out of play, disappointing for a side that heavily relies on set-pieces. DRINKS BREAK called by the referee!

70' GOAAALLLL!! Real Kashmir equalise with 20 minutes left on the clock. A Sena Ralte free-kick finds skipper Mason Robertson in the penalty area and he headed the ball in the back of the net past a diving goalkeeper.

67' We are well past the hour mark in the match and favorites Real Kashmir are still trailing to TRAU as the Imphal-based club are looking more threatening here despite the substitutions made by David Robertson.

64' Bidyshagar Singh latches onto a pass and rifles a shot towards the goalkeeper who makes a good save to keep the scoreline at 0-1 here.

61' A double substitution for Real Kashmir FC as Chesterpoul Lyngdoh and Pratesh Shirodkar as Samuel Kynshi and Farhan Ganie come on the field in an attempt to affect the scoreline and change it in their favor.

58' A counter-attacking move from a Real Kashmir corner finds TRAU on the front-foot but Kursunov wastes the golden opportunity to score as his shot is too weak and the goalkeeper makes the save.

53' A good attacking move from Real Kashmir ends with Dicka watching the ball sail over his head straight over the touchline and it's a goal kick.

48' Sena Ralte tries his luck from a long distance and the goalkeeper pouches the ball in his hands. Easy save!

The teams are out and Real Kashmir will kick off the second half

Real Kashmir FC time and again threatened with their set-pieces but Soram Anganba has been good enough in goal to stop the attacks from converting into a goal with Dipanda Dicka missing a chance to equalize just before the half-time break.

HALF TIME!! TRAU FC lead 1-0 over Real Kashmir FC at the half-time break and the Imphal-based side have been impressive throughout the first half and certainly deserve the lead given to them by one of the quickest goals in the league's history scored by Komron Tursunov.

45' Two minutes added by the fourth referee. Free kick taken by Real Kashmir and a foul by a player in the yellow shirt on the TRAU goalkeeper. He is down in pain and receiving treatment.

43' A TRAU FC corner and the Real Kashmir makes a mess of it as the defenders fail to clear an easy ball and then the goalkeeper somehow spills a simple catch before making a good save from a venomous shot from outside the penalty area. On the counter-attacl, Lyngdoh's shot is too high over the bar to trouble the goalkeeper.

41' Abhash Thapa delivers a delicious ball across the six-yard box and nobody could meet the ball including the goalkeeper and it goes out for a goal kick.

37' Real Kashmir take a free-kick and Pratesh Shirodkar launches the ball into the penalty area but Lukman fires it wide courtesy of a deflection. Corner wasted by the Snow Leopards.

34' Amiri takes a long throw but it disappointingly goes out for a goal kick without threatening the TRAU goalkeeper.

29' Long balls being sprayed from one end to the other but to no avail as both defenses have worked hard on their game. Dipanda Dicka nearly scores from inside the box as Lyngdoh laid the ball off for him but the Cameroonian striker's shot is just wide of the far post. DRINKS BREAK!!

24' Mason Robertson takes charge of a free-kick routine but the ball flies straight into the stands, the goalkeeper doesn't even has to break to a sweat.

23' We are nearing the end of the first quarter of the match and Real Kashmir players are missing match sharpness despite playing the entirety of a competition before the start of the league.

18' Dipanda Dicka getting involved in the game, glad to see the Cameroonian striker start another season in Indian football.

14' Lyngdoh swings in a cross but fails to find a yellow shirt in the penalty area as TRAU clears the ball away initially but give away a corner on the second attack.

11' Goalscorer Kursunov fouled in the Real Kashmir penalty area, free kick signaled by the referee. The ball swung into the penalty box but it goes out harmlessly for a goal kick.

7' Mason Robertson takes a long throw and the TRAU defense is breached but the goalkeeper palms away the ball and it is eventually cleared by a player in the red shirt.

4' The match has resumed normality as the two sides fight for the possession of the ball in the midfield area. David Robertson needs his side to up the ante if the favorites want a winning start to their league campaign.

1' OH MY MY!!! GOAAAALLLLL!!!! TRAU may have scored the quickest goal in the I-League history. Komron Tursunov pounced on a poor clearance and hit a rocket shot that ends up in the back of the net with the Real Kashmir goalkeeper a mere spectator in his goal.

TRAU on the other hand would be happy enough if they end up in Group A at the end of Phase 1 and don't have to fight to keep themselves in the league at the business end of the I-League season.

Real Kashmir FC won the IFA Shield 2020 and although the competition was missing some of the usual big names, Mason Robertson lifting up the shield was an indicator of the Kashmir-based club to be one of the major favorites to lift the I-League trophy along with Punjab FC and Gokulam Kerala FC.

The first day of I-League action served us three entertaining matches where we saw Mohammedan FC enjoying a happy return to the competition with a 1-0 win over Sudeva Delhi FC. Punjab FC defeated Aizawl FC 1-0 in the 4 pm encounter before Chennai City FC took home the bragging rights in the Southern Derby as they defeated Gokulam Kerala FC 2-1 courtesy of two splendid goals.
