"We're in it (the tournament) to win it," he says before signing off.

On the other hand, a disappointing start for England, and the road gets tougher and tougher for them, as they take on South Africa in the next game, also to be held at the Wankhede Stadium.

"England batted really well, but we didn't panic and backed ourselves to chase the target," he adds.

"Samuels eased the pressure off me a bit, and gave me time to pace my innings properly," says Gayle.

Chris Gayle has been, unsurprisingly, adjudged as the player of the match!

Russell played a perfect supporting role as he made 16 off 16!

He remained unbeaten on 100 off 48 with 5 fours and 11 sixes! In the process, he also scored the third fastest T20I century, in 47 balls.
