China's Liu Lei is leading with the best lift of 198 kg. Behind Liu Lei is Iran's Amir Jafari with his best lift of 195kg. Third in the ranking is Algeria's Hocine Bettir with a lift of 187kg. India's Jai Deep is out of the medal race at the moment.

Jodan's Mohammad Tarbash is the first lifter in the final. He failed in his second attempt and subsequently did not perform his next two attempts.
