Kashyap saved a couple of game points but Bin gets the game, anyway with a sharp crosscourt smash.

Kashyap strings together a few points to reduce the deficit to four points at 14-18

But the Chinese has had the upper hand since then...Kashyap looking pretty listless right now.

EXCELLENT FROM KASHYAP!

He pushed Bin to his forehand side with an array of clears to that side and then finished the point at the net on Bin's backhand side.

Bin continues to move the Indian around to draw errors from his racquet and is being pretty successful at that.

Some very aggressive play from the Chinese and he inches ahead to 11-10 at the mid-game break.

Bin finds a powerful smash down-the-line to end a long rally and makes it 10-9

Both playing attacking shots but Kashyap continues to make unforced errors.

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the India Open quarter-finals. Commonwealth Games champion Parupalli Kashyap will take on Qiao Bin of China in the quarter-finals of the Men's Singles event, here at the Siri Complex.

Kashyap, who has been struggling to cross the first round ever since recovering from his series of injuries, managed to overcome compatriot Shreyansh Jaiswal 21-19 19-21 21-12 and reach the quarterfinals of a major event.

He will be vying for a spot in the semis and will be bolstered by a vociferous home crowd here. However, Bin will certainly put his best foot forward and give him a stiff challenge.
