Welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of women's singles quarter-finals of the India Open featuring Saina Nehwal at the Siri Sports Complex, New Delhi.

Saina made the last-eight stage with minimal effort, as she notched up a 35-minute 21-12, 21-11 win against Denmark’s Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt.

Saina takes on fifth seed Zhang Beiwen, in what will be her fourth career meeting with the American. The Indian has maintained a clean slate so far, having beaten Zhang on every one of the previous three occasions that they have clashed. The most recent of the meetings was at the China Open, last November, where Saina had blanked Zhang 21-12, 21-13.

A similar result is expected in today's quarter-final as well.
