That's it from me, Sunny Sagar, tonight. Thanks for following along and do check back for the ISL game in one hour.

...

FT: India 0-1 China

An eerily familiar story for India, as they completely dominated the game but lost out to China by a solitary goal. Huang Cong scored in injury time with China second best for much of the game to steal 3 points.

India had gone close with Amarjit, Komal and Aman Chetri all spurning gilt-edged chances to score. The result leaves India bottom of the table, and with Brazil to come, it seems like India will finish the BRICS U-17 Cup with four losses.

...

...

46' PEEP PEEP PEEP! China get us underway

...

The second half is moments away, as the teams exit the tunnel. What will change in the last 45 minutes?

...

HT: Bhaiching Bhutia has some very positive words for India at half-time, saying India have 'completely dominated' the first half. The Indian legend also noted that the team has become far more compact when compared to the U16 AFC Championships, which is great for results.

When asked to single out the best player from what he has seen, Bhutia is full of praise, saying that its hard to pinpoint one particular player, since every player has impressed him.

The Indian veteran is also very happy to see that there is so much ball possession  on display, a far cry from the time when his teammates used to lump it forward to him when he was India's captain.

...

HT: India 0-0 China

India made a nervous start to the game, but have grown into the half. Amarjit went closest to scoring for India right at the end of the first half, but was denied. Aman Chetri, Komal and Boris have all looked good for India, which should please Nicolai Adam.

...

42' ALMOST! Aman receives the ball on the edge of the box, turns and lays the ball off to Amarjit in space on the left side of the box, and he evades a tackle to be 1-on-1 with the Chinese keeper, but Qi Yuxi makes a great save to deny him!

...

40' LUCKY! Rakip controls a cross in the box, but instead of hoofing the ball away, dallies on the ball and lays the ball off to Boris in panic, and the fullback is lucky to see his clearance come off the Chinese forward for a goal kick.

...

38' Amarjit really needs to work on his long passing, the central midfielder wastes another promising position with a wayward pass to the left wing.

...

36' Sanjeev has had a positive couple of minutes, showing his attacking skills while getting past his marker on the overlap to earn a corner, and then moments later tackling well to prevent a counter-attack.

...

33' ALMOST! Boris sends a lovely through ball to Aniket on the right edge of the box, but he is muscled off the ball and earns a corner. Boris takes the corner short and charges into the box, and his powerful cross is cleared by the Chinese defence.

...

32' Shubham Sarangi comes on to replace an injured Meetie

...

30' Meetie is down on the right touchline and receives treatment from India's physio, with Nicolai Adam looking concerned on the touchline.

...

29' Tao takes the corner and as the clearance falls back to him on the left wing, the Chinese creator earns another corner, which India clear out for a throw-in.

...

28' SHOT! Dheeraj does well to palm away Tao Qianglong's swerving free kick  out for a corner.

...

26' Wang Xiangjun (and that was fun to type) clatters into the back of Meetie on the right wing and is lucky to escape a yellow card.

...

23' WHAT A STUNNING SOLO RUN! Boris sets off down thr right after making a clever tackle in India's box, evading a couple of challenges and running up to form a 3v2 counter attack. The ball comes back to him in the box, but a heavy touch as he tries to flick past his marker results in China earning a goal kick.
