What a performance by the Colts today but a familiar shortcoming in front of goal led to them losing yet another game at the FIFA U17 World Cup 2017. Jeakson Singh created a bit of history by scoring India's goal, but his and his teammates joy was shortlived as Juan Penaloza's sucker punch of a goal second after the restart sealed the game.

90+5' Colombia have all but sealed this with the ball under their control in the final seconds. It's full-time now.

We are in the last vestiges of the game. Can India equalise in the final seconds? Nongdamba Naorem has certainly looked the part since coming on but the finishing touch has been lacking.

Aniket won the corner. Sanjeev with the delivery and Jeakson unmarked at the nearpost nods it in.

79' - A long ball over the top for Ninthoinganba and he gives a chase but to no avail.

76' - IND near the Colombia box but Rahim is brushed off.

IND break again down the left. Aniket with a beautiful cutback and finds Naorem. He eases past his man and is one on one with the keeper.

But that is stopped by the keeper.

75' - A Colombian player down on the field and India making their last change.

Boris off and Nongdamba Naorem comes in.

73' - Campas played in brilliantly on the left. But his poor touch allows Boris to recover and make the tackle.

72' - Long ball and Peñaloza had the beating of the two centre-backs.

Dheeraj, playing sweeper keeper and he gets that out of danger.

70' - Colombia on the ball and moving it around.

Two attempts at getting the ball through the backline. But Anwar Ali there on both occasions.

68' - A lazy shot at goal.

That's not going to trouble Dheeraj who gathers and then distributes. Some neat play in the middle and finally Jeaks finds the manon the right wing. He looks to find Rahul but that attack fizzles out as Jadhav is flagged offside.

67' - Scuffle at the back.

Anwar Ali boots it away.

It comes back in. IND struggle to get it away. But finally do.

65' Colombia are now playing the patient game with more focus on possession-oriented football. India are lining up Aniket Jadhav as their next change to shore up the attack.

62' - COL, however, come back and a long ball finds the goalscorer, Penaloza. But blue shirts surround him quickly.

62' India are looking deflated with every passing moment but the crowd are not letting up. The Colts somehow need to find a bit more energy in their play to get back into the game. It's all Colombia at the moment.

Flicked on at the near post but Anwar there to get that away.

53' - India again break down the right. Ninthoinganba again with the cross.

Punched away by the keeper but Rahul at the end of it. The boy from Kerala, however, can't keep it.

52' - Some cool and composed work at the back from India. Colombia try to close India down. But the Blue Colts get their way out.

51' - Good win in the midfield and finally gets Ninthoinganba on the right,

A good cross into the middle. Rahul with the header but he can't keep that on target.

50'- India on the other end straight away.

An acrobatic attempt by Abhijit. But fails make contact.

49' - GOAL!

Colombia with the goal. Juan Peñaloza with a shimmy a gets the space to get the shot away.

Dheeraj, however, had no chance there.

48' - Boris with a great interception. A burst down the right and ball into the box.

But that last part wasn't really great.

47'- Colombia down the left are thwarted. And now a cross-field ball to Rahul. But he can't get at the end of it.

46'- Colombia in all yellow get us underway.

India, however, remain as resilient as ever.

And we are back.

That's the last major action of the first half.

India have certainly given it as good as they have got. Abhijit Sarkar and then Rahul cam close to scoring India's first ever goal in the World Cup.

Can this be India's night, finally?

Boris with some real fight. Great find as he getd Rahul who is unmarked at the edge of the box on the left.

The boy from Kerala let's one fly and that comes back off the crossbar.

45' - Brilliant work from Sarkar in the middle. Gets past two and gets Meetei in on the right. But that's as far it will go.

44' - India resilient as ever. And now the hosts come forward.

43' - On the bar. The corner drops on the post and India gets it away for a throw in.

Dheeraj meanwhile seems to have injured himself in the process.
