The Indians were brilliant in the first half, but UAE were the better side in the second half. Credit to the UAE team for coming out in the second half so positive. All three goals conceded by India could be attributed to bad or poor defending, and lack of organization.

On the positive side of things, the front four of Komal, Aman, Aniket and Boris looked irresistible during points of the game, but got isolated as the game went on. Nicholai Adam has given the team the license to attack, but it all looked a bit panicky when they had to defend.

The goalkeeper Dheeraj, a very talented one at that, showed in glimpses what he could do, coming out to claim crosses, but unfortunately, as a goalkeeper ends up doing, had to pay for his errors. Hope. he dusts himself and comes back in the next round.

There were a lot of positive signs for India throughout the game, things to build upon. No one expected them to come out and dominate UAE for 45 minutes, but they did. But, knockout competitions such as these can get brutal, India have no time to stand and stare, they need to tie their laces and get onto the front foot again.
