IPL 2016: Delhi Daredevils beat Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets

As for the IPL, we have a double-header coming your way. Tomorrow, at 4 PM (IST) it would be Sunrisers Hyderabad taking on the Kolkata Knight Riders in Hyderabad, and at 8 PM (IST) it would be the Mumbai Indians locking horns with the Gujarat Lions in Mumbai.

So, the Daredevils open their account with this win and would play the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a couple of days time. On the other hand, the Kings XI are still waiting for their first win of IPL 2016 and would play the Rising Pune Supergiants in Mohali on Sunday.

"I'm really happy today. The wicket was on the slower side. I wanted to bowl the 4th over, but I had full confidence in my captain and support him to the fullest. We batted, bowled and fielded very well in this game," says Mishra.

Amit Mishra is the Man of the Match for his figures of 3-0-11-4!

"The win was required for us, happy with the way we performed on the field. The energy out there was fantastic, we really want that young energy, it is a young side. Very happy with the way boys kept up the pressure on the field. I think Mishra was excellent. We have built up the momentum and this win will definitely help," says Zaheer, the captain of the Delhi Daredevils.

While Quinton de Kock should be given the credit for his impeccable innings, it must not be forgotten that Amit Mishra had set up the match in the first place with his 4-wicket-haul in the first innings.

"Not enough runs on the board. We had a few chances on the field which we couldn't grab. Momentum is broken when a couple of wickets are taken and we lost too many wickets. We just didn't have enough runs on the board," says Miller, the KXIP captain!

That was a clinical performance from the Daredevils, who register their third consecutive win over Kings XI Punjab. It was made easy by the bowling of Amit Mishra, who finished with 4/11 from his three overs and Quinton de Kock's composed fifty helped them register their third-biggest IPL win in terms of balls remaining.
