AB de Villiers: "Lot of things worked for us today, I wasn't scared of losing wickets and was playing proper cricketing shots. Me and Kohli assessed the situation. I accelerated towards the middle and end. I hate facing dot balls in T20s. I was angry at myself for failing to make contact at the start. I was trying to play the right shots at the right time and understand what the team required. Not my best innings because I faced lots of dot balls!"
...
AB deVilliers is the MAN OF THE MATCH
...
Kohli: "There is a calm confidence in the change room. Not worried about wins and losses. It is a simple equation, playoffs for us from here. We are batting with intent. We have to be instinctive and play smart cricket. A confident unit is what every captain requires. As a professional, you need new challenges every day."
...
McCullum: "We were happy to bowl first, but two world-class batsmen played two of the greatest innings in the history of T20s. We bowled well with the new ball, but when we got the spinners, AB de Villiers started targeting the ropes. It is very little we can do when they're on song. We're gonna flush this out to the system. We have to get back to winning ways and head to the playoffs."

RCB win by 144 runs. What a win for the Royal Challengers! Kohli said he enjoys a situation like this, where every game is a virtual knockout, after his loss against Mumbai, and that kind of spirit seemed to be flowing through the entire team. They were on a mission and everything was executed to perfection. After they lost Gayle early batting first, ABD came out to bat and middled it right away. He hit it all over the park and brought up his 100. Kohli, a spectator for most of the game, then turned in on towards the end and scored a 100 himself. The two superstars managed 126 in the last 6 as RCB scored 248/3. Chasing 249, Gujarat got off to a poor start losing Smith early. Chahal took 3 wickets. Jordan took 4 in a morale boosting performance for the man. So, the RCB stay alive in this IPL!
