Except for Shikhar Dhawan's half century, none of the Hyderabad batsmen could stay for long in the middle. The rest of the top order tumbled to poor shots, and the middle order was strangled by a tight spin attack in the middle. Gambhir used his bowlers cleverly, and never let any batsman settle. Narine picked up three crucial wickets and was ably supported by Kuldeep Yadav who picked up two. The KKR innings tailed off at the end, but the target of 171 was still beyond the Hyderabad batsmen's reach.
The action now shifts to Raipur, where Bangalore take on Delhi in the final league stage match:
17.6 Narine to Henriques, OUT! Drags the length back and bowls it much, much slower. Henriques comes down and looks to smash it halfway across Calcutta, misses and the ball crashes into the stumps. Game over, surely.
17.3 Narine to Henriques, FOUR! Short ball, plays it very very very late, just nudges it past the keeper and it beats Ankit Rajpoot in an agonising run chase.
15.1 Kuldeep Yadav to Hooda, Hooda RUN OUT! Gets back and pulls this nicely, Shakib throws at the keeper's end. Williamson never seemed interested in a second but Hooda had made up his mind and got his head up too late to realize Williamson wasn't interested and runs himself out.
