A hard-fought draw for both the sides as the away side Mumbai came back strong in the second half after an early goal from Mark Sifneos had put the home side in the lead grabbing the first goal of the season. But Balwant Singh equalized in the 77th minute to put it all square. C.K Vineeth was given his marching orders by the ref for two yellow cards in quick succession.

Kerala Blasters finally score in the season as Sifneos comes through on the faith shown on him by Rene Meuelensteen starting him ahead of Iain Hume. Mumbai have looked lackluster in the half and never got going except for a few chances. Guimares will have to inspire the side to deliver in the second half. Sifneos, who started in place of Hume gets on the scoresheet as Berbatov picks up the run of Rino Anto on the overlap and put in an inch-perfect cross for Sifneos who gets it past Amrinder in the goal. The pressure has paid off for the home side.

10' - Mumbai have rarely put together a couple of passes as Kerala have piled on the pressure in the first 10 minutes.
