Fc Goa have only themselves to blame, for not getting all three points from this fixture. They had plenty of chances, to put this game to bed. They, however were lacking in finishing and could manage the solitary goal, from the deflection. Fc Goa have now some serious problems and will be hoping that Jamshedpur Fc slip up too.
Delhi also had a buffet of missed chances. The earliest coming inside the second minute, when the Gao-loanee Arana found himself in front of the keeper with the ball. Delhi Dynamos are back in it. It's a brilliant goal, as it's Lumu with a ball threaded straight through the FC Goa backline. Chhangte rushes onto it from the left and fizzes it straight into the middle. It is met by the onrushing Uche, who calmly puts it past the keeper.

79' Another HUGE chance for Delhi goes wanting, as Uche gets Chhangte clear with a beautiful and incisive pass beyond the Goa backline and Chhangte drills it straight at the outside of the net.

77' Goa escape with another one. Delhi get a free-kick in the Goa half. Arana puts it into the box. Uche meets it with an acrobatic attempt, but cannot connect well and the ball falls wide of the post.

It's a big run from the goalscorer Boumous, who came into the FC Goa team today in place of the suspended Lanzarote. He gets the ball almost at the half-way line and runs through the middle and is allowed to take the shot by Rowilson and Vinit. Though the shot was from in front of the Delhi backline, it takes a huge deflection off Cichero and Xabi can only helplessly watch in horror as the ball goes past him into the empty net.

51' Mirabaje with a defence-splitting pass from Mirabaje, from deep in his own half. Romeo does really well to reach it, but he does not whip it in and by the time he does put it in, Arana cannot reach it and Goa can claim the ball. It's a good chance wasted by Delhi.

Looking back on the half, both the teams have had their fair share of chance and both have been unable to find the precision required to put the ball into the net.
The Delhi Dynamos are sticking to their gameplan well, holding their shape and throwing almost all their players in front of the FC Goa offensive line. They are relying heavily on the trio of Arana, Uche and Romeo for their offensive ventures and the speed of Romeo will definitely become a bigger factor, as the game goes on.
FC Goa definitely have to be much more patient on the ball. They have had several bad passes, too many shots that were more of a hope for a goal than anything else. They have to be more confident and find those quick interplays, if they want to break down this well-worked Delhi backline.

44' Goa just survive another scare, as Ali just clears the ball clear of the path of an onrushing Uche with a good sliding challenge, not allowing Uche to get the shot off.

Boumous with an incising run on the counter, down the right and then comes into the middle putting the ball into the path of Mandar coming in from the right. He goes past one and then takes the shot with his left foot. The shot does not have the power which is even close to beating the goalie.

24' Delhi making to sure to defend in numbers. Jahouh and the other Goa attackers moving the ball around in front of the Delhi box, are running into huge traffic, as they always seem to find three players in front of them no matter what.

23' Goa is now settling well into the game. The players are finding their passes and linking up well with each other.
