21:13 (IST)18 OCT 2016

KHEL KABADDI!!!!

21:12 (IST)18 OCT 2016

India are yet to qualify for the semi-final but a win or a narrow loss will see them through.

21:11 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Waiting for the coin toss here and let's see who will win.

21:08 (IST)18 OCT 2016

We are close to the start here and the excitement is building.

21:07 (IST)18 OCT 2016

India are next and they are looking more determined than anything else.

21:05 (IST)18 OCT 2016

The teams are arriving in the arena and England are first, Someshwar Kalia, their captain, is leading from the front.

21:00 (IST)18 OCT 2016

One thing worth noticing in this World Cup from India's perspective is that the likes of Anup Kumar, Ajay Thakur and Manjeet Chhillar have shown why they are so highly rated at the international level.

20:58 (IST)18 OCT 2016

We are now minutes away from the beginning of the match between India and England.

20:56 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Update: Kenya have demolished USA 74-19 to end their group stage on a winning note. The African nation still has a chance of making it to the semi-final if Japan beat Thailand by a narrow margin.

20:47 (IST)18 OCT 2016

India are clearly going with a tried and tested line-up with Ajay Thakur being rewarded for his form and experience. Him and Pardeep Narwal have formed a deadly combination.

20:44 (IST)18 OCT 2016

The starting line-up for India is in -  Anup Kumar, Manjeet Chhillar, Surjeet, Pardeep Narwal, Ajay Thakur, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Sandeep Narwal

20:35 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Another thing that we have to keep in mind is that this is one of maximum three last fixtures of Anup Kumar's international kabaddi career as the raider announced that he will be retiring from international kabaddi after the World Cup. All the more reason why he will be charged up to perform better.

20:31 (IST)18 OCT 2016

However, if this tournament is anything to go by, we can surely expect a surprise tonight in Ahmedabad. India will also be aware that they cannot afford to let down their guard for one moment during the match.

20:29 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Can England actually beat India ? It is highly doubtful given the kind of form the Indian team is in at the moment.

20:17 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Scenario A: India win today or lose by seven points or less to qualify for the semi-final.
Scenario B: England beat India by a huge margin and then Bangladesh beat Argentina by a huge margin to finish second in Group A and qualify for the semi-final

20:14 (IST)18 OCT 2016

We are just under an hour away from the start of the game and till then, let's just give you a little perspective about today's match between India and England.

20:03 (IST)18 OCT 2016

Hello and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup and it is India's last group fixture of the tournament. They are up against an England side that has already been knocked out of contention for a spot in the semi-final but a big win for them would give Bangladesh hopes of qualifying for the top four.

Technically, India can qualify for the sem-final even if they lose to England, given the margin of defeat is seven points or less. Bangladesh are the other team that can qualify for the semi-final but for that to happen, India would need to lose to England by a huge margin while their neighbours would need to defeat Argentina by a huge margin, something that they did to Australia.

The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup has turned out to be much more interesting and the fact India’s qualification to the semi-final has not been confirmed till the last fixture show the quality of teams on display. However, after the slip-up against South Korea, India have stormed back euphorically in the tournament by winning three matches on the trot (Australia, Bangladesh and Argentina). The Indian attack, which was looking a little dull in the first two matches, has come into its own in the last two matches.

India: Anup Kumar (Captain), Rahul Chaudhari, Manjeet Chhillar, Jasvir Singh, Deepak Niwas Hooda, Pardeep Narwal, Mohit Chhillar, Surender Nada, Surjeet, Ajay Thakur, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Kiran Parmar, Nitin Tomar, Sandeep Narwal

England: Someshwar Kalia (Captain), Keshav Gupta, Akash Sood, Jay Depala, Joshua Cherian Enson, Mason Swaran Ghazanfar Dhani-Ali, Meredydd Rowan Rix, Nikesh FarmahPavan Davies, Philip Nicholas George Mottram, Tejash Depala, Yuvraj Pandeya, Milan Nayee, Temi Tope Adewalure
