FULL TIME: India 32 - 34 South Korea
40' India 31 - 33 South Korea - ANUP KUMAR you beauty!!!! He gets the crucial point but Jang Kun Lee gets two, What is happening. Korea get one more. They are leading.
39' India 30 - 30 South Korea - When nothing is going, who comes on? Anup Kumar. HE GETS THE BONUS!!! NOOOOOO... He does not. Jang Kun Lee raids and WOW, What a raid!!! A minute remaining and this looks like a superb raid. YES it is. SUPER RAID!!!! Teams are level
39' India 29 - 27 South Korea - Last few minutes of the game and Jang Kun Lee reduces lead to two by getting bonus but India review. This could be crucial. If South Korea get the bonus, they can bring down the lead to 1. UNSUCCESSFUL
38' India 29 - 26 South Korea - The away team pulls one more back but Anup Kumar restores his team to three points. These are crucial times. Two and a half minutes left to play. This is much closer than it looks. TIME OUT
37' India 28 - 25 South Korea - Cheralathan brought back but Korea send him back with a vicious raid. It is still a five point game. Anup Kumar is the lone man standing ALL OUT!!! Three points is the difference.
36' India 27 - 21 South Korea - India staring down at an All Out. Should South Korea effect this one. It will be a two point game. After being non-existent throughout the match, Ajay Thakur is thrust on to the stage. He looks for the bonus and gets two. BRILLIANT. One more player is brought on.
31' India 25 - 21 South Korea - Deepak Niwas Hooda with the do or die raid and he gets the bonus. FANTASTIC from Deepak. Do or Die for South Korea. WHAT A RAID!!!! 2 points. What a turn, almost ZInedine ZIdane like. India down to one man.

22' India 18 - 13 South Korea - The second half gets underway and South Korea start with an empty raid. Anup then follows with just four players defending. Cool as ever, he goes back. Sedate start to the second half. No points yet.
So, what did you make of the first half? Was India good enough or looked a little under the weather. Rahul Chaudhari is yet to hit full gear. However, I think India has done just about enough to keep themselves above South Korea and there should not be any problem.
HALF-TIME - India 18-13 South Korea
20' India 18 - 13 South Korea - Though India are leading, South Korea are consistently producing points and are just five points behind. The last raid of the first half is an empty one. HALF-TIME

17' India 16 - 10 South Korea - There are only three minutes remaining in the first half and India lead by six points.
16' India 16 - 10 South Korea - BRILLIANT tackle from the South Korean defence and pull one point back. Rahul Chaudhari is taken down but is brought back instantaneously by an excellent tackle.

12' India 14 - 9 South Korea - The away team has reviewed the call and think that it is not a Super Raid. Review successful

8' India 6 - 7 South Korea - Rahul Chaudhari raids with three men remaining and South Korea have a Super Tackle opportunity. He goes back to force a do or die raid on Jang Kun Lee but Manjeet produces a superb thigh hold to take him down. EXCELLEN.
6' India 5 - 4 South Korea - South Korea have begun really well here and things are looking really good for them. India are yet to hit the ground running. SUPER RAID!!! Anup Kumar produces magic. This is stunning.

Interesting combination here from India as it is an excellent mix of youth and experience.
India starting 7: Anup Kumar, Rahul Chaudhari, Manjeet Chhillar, Jasvir Singh, Surjeet, Dharmaraj Cheralathan, Mohit Chhillar
The teams are about to enter the mat.
"Gujarat is proud to host the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup" says the Gujarat Chief Minister as the crowds breaks into chants of "Modi, Modi, Modi"
We will soon be seeing the starting line-ups of both teams. It would be interesting to see who India fields in the starting line-ups today.
Good to see a young girl coming and reciting the national anthem.
This is a dazzling ceremony and we are just 10 minutes away from the start of the match between India and South Korea. The Gujarat Chief Minister is now meeting with the captains of all 12 teams.
The 2016 Kabaddi World Cup kicks off today in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, with hosts India taking on fellow Asian nation South Korea. A lot of hype has been built around this tournament and the opening encounter promises to be a cracker as South Korea will be looking to cause a major upset by beating the host nation and title favourites India. The hosts, on the other hand, will be looking to send out a strong message to rest of the opponents by putting in a strong performance.
As compared to other teams in the tournament, South Korea is one of the more experienced sides playing in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup. Not only do they have better credentials than other nations in the form of medals at international competitions (Bronze medal at 2014 Asian Games), South Korea have within their ranks players like Jang Kun Lee an,d Tae Deok Eom, who ply their trades in Pro Kabaddi League.
South Korea, through Jang Kun Lee, will be looking to target the Indian defence, which may not be in its best shape at the moment, given the forms of Surender Nada and Dharmaraj Cheralathan. However, they would be quite wary of India’s ammunition in attack, which is potentially devastating to say the least. Stopping the likes of Rahul Chaudhari, Pardeep Narwal, Deepak Niwas Hooda and Anup Kumar will take a monumental effort on the part of the away side.
