5km completed. Sandeep is still going strong at 2nd. Irfan and Rahul are lagging behind in the race.

Sandeep is just a few centimetres behind Wang from China. However, these two are fairly ahead of others in the hive.

4km completed. Sandeep Kumar continues to occupy 2nd position. Rahul moves up to 12th while Irfan has fallen down to 45th position.

3km completed. Rahul moves to 21st while Irfan occupies 27th position. Sandeep is still going strong at 2nd.

Korkmaz from Turkey suffers a cramp but he's back in the race! That was the first cramp of the day.

2km completed. Sandeep Kumar has moved up to second place while Irfan is 22nd. Rahul is behind them at 28th position.

Few minutes into the racewalk, the Indians have been spotted in the middle of the hive. Sandeep Kumar is 4th at the moment while Yamanishi from Japan leads the race. Rahul is 20th and Irfan is behind the top 30.

The Olympics Record was set by Ding Chen from China who completed the 20km event in 1 hour 18 minutes and 46 seconds at the London Olympics 2012.

The World Record for this event was set by the Japanese Yusuke Suzuki in March 2015. He finished the distance in 1 hour 16 minutes and 36 seconds.

Sandeep Kumar is ranked quite ahead of his counterparts at 42. His best timing is of 1 hour 20 minutes and 16 seconds which is also his seasonal best.

Rahul Rohilla is ranked 78th in the world with a personal and seasonal best timing of 1 hour 20 minutes and 26 seconds.

KT Irfan is ranked 77 in the world and his personal and seasonal best timing is of 1 hour 20 minutes and 21 seconds.
