A hat-trick of victories for the reigning champions. Chelsea have made it 9 points from 4 games. Leicester City showed a lot of character but their poor run continues. Having mustered only 3 points out of a possible 12, Craig Shakespeare needs to take matters to the drawing board once again. In their defence, they have had a tough opening month and their defeats have come against Arsenal, Manchester United and now, Chelsea.

Though they were dominant for the greater part of the game, some poor decision making from their midfielders saw them missing out on more than a few chances to kill the game off. But Conte wouldn't worry about that. That's 3 points in the kitty and the ghosts from the opening weekend seem to have been exorcised. Now that their squad is coming to its full strength, Chelsea seem to be getting stronger with every passing week. That's all from the King Power Stadium for today.

Kante with a glorious cross court ball for Alonso on the left flank. And Zappacosta is free on the right side and though his first touch let him down a bit, he recovers well and gets a good shot away but it is only inches away from the far post and runs out of play.

David Luiz forays forward and combines well with Fabregas who floats one looped ball into the edge of the area for Luiz but he skies the effort. Leicester will regroup and have a go at it now.

Vardy slots it down the centre. Courtois gets a faint touch but can't stop it.

59' Christian Fuchs' long throw-in from left flank. And it gets a little awkward in the box and Gray gets a tame shot away after the ball is scrambled away from the 6-yard box. Courtois gathers and Leicester will need to try again.

The next goal will be crucial. Leicester know this and they're probing. Working the ball around in midfield, looking to free up the channels.

Fabregas urges Pedro to come closer to the right side on the box and does a neat little one-two but fires his shot at the side netting. Chelsea are looking comfortable.

Lethargic from the Foxes. They shouldn't afford that kindof space to a player of Kante's quality. He can and will punish you. The goal was, in fact, pretty similar to Kante's strike against Manchester United in their FA Cup tie from last season.

The players will retreat now. But that really turned out to be a typically entertaining Premier League first half. Both teams upped the tempo towards the business end of the first half and the game looks to be opening up. Just couldn't get enough of what was an entertaining half.

The corner gets cleared and Victor Moses unleashes a shot from 25 yards out and Schmeichel is tested but he parries it away. What an effort from the Chelsea wing back!

But Leicester are not going to get flustered and sit back. They are already on the offensive and Mahrez, with admirable skill down the right flank, this time, neatly serves a sumptuous ball into the box but neither Vardy nor Slimani can connect. Leicester keep knocking.

Azpilicueta with a beauty of a ball, a replay of his assist from the Everton game and Morata's quality positioning puts him in the centre of the box from where he was not going to miss. Heads it past Schmeichel and Chelsea have the lead. The match is opening up!

Leicester step on the gas and hit Chelsea on the counter. Mahrez advance with pace and poise and creates a 3 on 1 situation. He then slides a deceptive ball to Slimani who was making a run to his right. But Slimani's shot is blocked by the outstretched hand of the giant Courtois!
