Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is concerned by Andreas Pereira’s recent lack of playing time at Valencia.

Pereira is on a season-long loan at Valencia, but has made just one brief substitute appearance in the club’s last three matches. Mourinho isn’t planning to recall the midfielder, but is worried about the situation and also the position Pereira has been playing in at the Mestalla.

Arsenal and Chelsea have both made enquiries about signing Rochdale’s teenage midfielder Daniel Adshead.

The 16-year-old has made seven appearances for Dale this season after making his first-team debut for the League One club back in September.

He has been scouted regularly by Arsenal and Chelsea, who are now preparing to step up their interest as Rochdale manager Keith Hill attempts to hold on to Adshead.

Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham will look for "quality" signings in the final days of the January transfer window.

Spurs have not signed a player in the winter window since Dele Alli in 2015, when the midfielder was immediately loaned back to MK Dons to finish that season. Pochettino recently said that Tottenham would not recruit in January, but after drawing 1-1 with League Two Newport in the FA Cup the Spurs boss admitted they do have some options before the transfer deadline on Wednesday night.

"Of course we have some options," Pochettino said. "We are going in the last few days to see if we can add players that add good quality.If not then it won't happen. But it's about in the next few days to see if we have some possibilities with some players."

Southampton are in negotiations to bring Spartak Moscow’s Dutch winger Quincy Promes to St Mary's, Sky Sports understands.

Spartak are holding out for a fee in the region of £30m. Southampton signed Guido Carrillo on Thursday but that hasn’t dimmed their interest in Promes.

Celtic are set to finalise an 18-month loan deal for Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda.

The Belgian under-21 international was an unused substitute as the Blues dispatched Newcastle 3-0 in the FA Cup on Sunday, but left the ground immediately after the game to tie up the deal which will see him spend until summer 2019 at Celtic Park.

Musonda had expressed frustration earlier this season at a perceived lack of first-team opportunities in Antonio Conte's side, and Celtic are believed to have fended off interest from Leganes and Roma to land their man.

Manchester United will look to sign Manuel Neuer from Bayern Munich should David de Gea leave the club.

Jose Mourinho is aware that Chelsea would likely never sell Thibaut Courtois to a rival and that Jan Oblak may be too expensive, so the Germany international is seen as a more plausible option. United could offer the 32-year-old Neuer one last big payday while the goalkeeper is still in his prime.

Antonio Conte was coy on any possible loan move away from Stamford Bridge for Michy Batshuayi after Chelsea beat Newcastle 3-0 in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday.

The manager told the post-match press conference: “If you see our squad, we don’t have three, four, five strikers. We have two, Morata and Batshuayi. There is also [Eden] Hazard if I decide to play with Barkley, Willian and Perdro.

"My task is to try to exploit every player in the best way. For sure, it’s important that he’s scored, but he also has to work hard to help the team. He improved a lot his energy and then the club will make the best decision.

"If the club wants to add players to this squad or if we continue with just two strikers, I’d be happy in both cases."

Monaco midfielder Fabinho has admitted that he has come to the end of the line at the Ligue 1 club and is ready for a fresh start.

The 24-year-old has become a cornerstone of the Monaco team. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with clubs such as Manchester United and Atletico Madrid both linked to the Brazilian in recent weeks.

David de Gea has insisted he is happy and settled at Manchester United, despite his contract at the club having just 18 months left to run.

The Spain international has consistently been linked with a return to Madrid and with La Liga champions Real, but there is little indication that the goalkeeper signed for £18.9m from Atletico in 2011 is looking at pitching up outside of Manchester.

"Yeah, time flies by doesn’t it?" he told Premier League productions of his seven years at Old Trafford. "When you think I’m in my seventh season now, I’m really, really happy with all my time here.

"I came here as a kid and I’m a man now both on and off the field. From a football point of view and in my own life as well. Looking back, it’s been seven fantastic years."

Neymar claims he's happy at Paris Saint-Germain amid mounting speculation that the Brazilian could be headed for Real Madrid this summer.

"I'm happy with my team-mates and I'm happy at PSG," he told reporters. "I have good games and numbers and come here to make history and do my best."

Newcastle have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Gremio star Luan.

Jurgen Klopp is thought to be an admirer of the Olympic champion, but the report claims that Newcastle could get a deal done for £17.5million if they move before the close of the winter window.

West Brom boss Alan Pardew has suggested a hamstring injury suffered by Jonny Evans in Saturday's FA Cup win over Liverpool could scupper a January move for the Northern Ireland defender.

Pardew revealed on Friday that the club have received approaches for the 30-year-old but that none had met the Baggies' valuation of the player, who has 18 months left on his contract.

West Ham have opened talks regarding a January move for striker Graziano Pelle.

Former Southampton forward Pelle, who now plies his trade with Shandong Luneng in China, is being eyed as cover for the perennially injured Andy Carroll.

Gareth Bale wants a move to Manchester United and is desperate for a return to the Premier League.

Real Madrid are said to be eyeing a swap deal with David de Gea and president Florentino Perez is willing to give up Bale to bring the Spanish goalkeeper to the Bernabeu.

Manchester United are one of the teams on alert, with Borussia Dortmund prepared to let Marc Bartra leave in search of more playing time.

Manchester City, Juventus and Real Betis are also reportedly chasing the defender, who has found playing time hard to come by under Peter Stoger.

Real Madrid are lining up an approach for Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino to replace Zinedine Zidane.

The Argentine masterminded Spurs' 3-1 victory over Real earlier this season, as well as a gutsy 1-1 draw in the Bernabeu, and Real have been impressed by the club's performances in Europe.

Pochettino, when asked about the possibility of a move earlier this week, refused to rule out the idea, and Real may test Spurs' resolve in the coming months.

Manchester United and Manchester City are squaring up for another transfer scrap this week - over Brazilian Fred.

The Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder is seen by Pep Guardiola as the successor to Fernandinho, and he is valued at a reported £50m.

PSG playmaker Javier Pastore says he would be open to a return to Italy this month.

The Argentina international has been linked heavily with Inter Milan in recent months.

“I would like to play more because my aim is to go to the World Cup, I don’t know what will happen, we talk a lot about Inter and if I had to go I would like to return to Italy because I felt good [there] and it’s a championship that I know. But still nothing is decided,” he told Calciomercato.

Mauricio Pochettino has hinted that Tottenham are ready to act in the final days of the January transfer window.

"Of course we have some options," he said. "We are going in the last few days to see if we can add players that add good quality. If not then it won't happen. But it's about in the next few days to see if we have some possibilities with some players.

"There's a lot of rumours about different players and I never talk about rumours. But we'll see what happens in the last few days."

Barcelona are closing in on a deal to sign Gremio midfielder Arthur Melo.

The Blaugrana have already brought in Philippe Coutinho and Yerry Mina during the January transfer window, but Ernesto Valverde is keen to bring in Arthur before the end of the month.

Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all made enquiries about Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

The Slovakian defender only joined the Nerazzurri last summer, but his performances have caught the eye and led to sporting director Piero Ausilio describing him as 'unsellable'.

Jose Mourinho is set to reject bids from Roma and Juventus to take Italian international full-back Matteo Darmian on loan.

The full-back has struggled for game time this season, but Mourinho reportedly wants to keep his squad intact as they look to chase down Manchester City in the Premier League and compete in multiple cup competitions.

Sky Germany are reporting Schalke will complete the signing of Chelsea defender Baba Rahman on Tuesday.

Rahman, who had his medical on Friday, will return to Schalke on an 18-month deal, having already spent last season at the German club.

Loic Remy has decided to join Getafe this month.

Remy is surplus to requirements at Las Palmas but wants to remain in La Liga and has opted to move to Getafe on loan until the end of the season. Las Palmas still need to approve the deal.

Daniel Sturridge is set for an Inter Milan transfer after Liverpool more than halved the asking price.

They were said to be looking for a £5m loan fee and full payment of his £150,000-per-week wage, but this has now been reduced to £1.5m as the Serie A side look to land his services and Sturridge eyes a late push for England's World Cup squad.

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is weighing up a move to Chelsea this summer.

Ronaldo is keen to leave Santiago Bernabeu after this season, with the Premier League his prefered destination. Alexis Sanchez's move to Manchester United, however, has ruled out a return to Old Trafford.

Chelsea, though, are keen to take advantage and bring the Portugal captain to Stamford Bridge.

Fulham want £30m for Tom Cairney after turning down West Ham's bid.

The team captain is tied to a deal at Craven Cottage until 2021, with the Hammers offering a reported £15m for Cairney.

Bild says Bayern Munich are ready to sell Arturo Vidal after the confirmation of Leon Goretzka's move to the club.

Manchester United and Chelsea are said to be interested. Jose Mourinho is reportedly confident that former Juventus team-mate Paul Pogba and countryman Sanchez could persuade Vidal to move to Old Trafford.

Chelsea are planning to replace Antonio Conte with former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique.

Roman Abramovich is said to furious at manager Conte’s persistent jibes about the club’s lack of spending while Enrique is open to offers for next season after a year out of football following his departure from Barcelona.

Roma manager Eusebio Di Francesco has joked that he would look to replace Chelsea target Edin Dzeko with Barcelona star Lionel Messi.

Sky Sports News understands that Chelsea are willing to pay £26m to land the striker. Di Francesco was asked how he would look to replace the Bosnia international if he leaves for Chelsea and provide an amusing response, although admitted that he is hopeful of keeping hold of the striker.

“I have asked for [Lionel] Messi, but they have told me that it’s not possible,” he is quoted as saying in Marca. “I hope that [Edin] Dzeko stays until the end of the season.”

Rob Holding could be on his way out of Arsenal this month.

Burnley are keen to take the defender on loan should the Gunners land Jonny Evans. Sean Dyche is said to be keen to improve his defensive options, with Holding starting just five Premier League games this season so far.

Manchester City are ready to launch an astonishing £150 million bid for Chelsea's Eden Hazard.

Hazard is currently in a contract deadlock with the Blues, and if that still stands in the summer City will look to rival Real Madrid for the Belgian's signature.

Though City refused to pay big money for Alexis Sanchez before he joined Manchester United, they believe Hazard represents greater value, and Pep Guardiola is willing to sanction a move.

Swansea midfielder Roque Mesa will travel to Spain on today as he prepares to seal a loan move to Sevilla.

The two clubs have already exchanged the relevant documents ahead of finalising a loan deal which includes an option to buy. Sevilla are long-term admirers of the Spaniard and unsuccessfully tried to sign him back in 2016.

Michael Keane's Everton future is in doubt as boss Sam Allardyce looks to move him out in this window or the summer.

The centre-back has had a tough time at Goodison Park since former manager Ronald Koeman signed him from Burnley, and could be deemed surplus to requirements under the new boss.

Rafael Benitez has hinted that he could be ready to extend his stay at Newcastle if he gets the backing to keep the club in the Premier League.

The Magpies are understood to be keen to tie down their manager in a new contract after initially landing him on a three-year deal back in May 2016.

"For me it is not an issue. I have to make sure we are doing things in the right way, and if we have this common idea and we are on the same page then I am not worried about that.

"We have to be sure we stay in the Premier League. Then this conversation will be easier. I told Mike [Ashley] what I thought, and what I think, about that. He knows my opinion and we don't have to talk now."
