Henrikh Mkhitaryan bid 'a tearful farewell' to his Manchester United team-mates as he left their Carrington training base earlier this afternoon.

Mkhitaryan’s switch to the Emirates has been holding up negotiations after his agent Mino Raiola warned that he could ruin United’s hopes of signing Sanchez this January.

Jose Mourinho claimed there was ‘nothing new’ to report at a 12.45pm press conference on Friday other than to say that Mkhitaryan had once again been left out of United’s match-day squad to face Burnley.

But around an hour later, the Armenian reportedly left for the final time.

Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri has reportedly agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, leaving a transfer fee the stumbling block.

Emerson will earn €2.5m a season if his move to Chelsea goes through.

Arsenal have pulled out of the race to sign Malcom from Bordeaux in January.

The Gunners are not willing to pay the French club's asking price of £44 million, though they remain confident that they can sign the 20-year-old in the summer.

Tottenham have also been linked with the exciting forward.

David Moyes says West Ham are not interested in signing Chelsea's Michy Batshuayi in the January transfer window...

Crystal Palace have shown an interest in signing Inter Milan forward Eder.

Roy Hodgson is said to be looking to raid the club he managed between 1995 and 1997 in order to prise the 31-year-old away from the San Siro with a bid of around €10-11m.

The 31-year-old has scored just once in 17 appearances this season.

Newcastle United are keen on adding Everton winger Aaron Lennon to their ranks.

Lennon faces extra competition for playing time after the Toffees completed the signing of Theo Walcott from Arsenal.

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique is being considered as a possible successor to Antonio Conte at Chelsea.

With the Italian linked with PSG and under pressure at Stamford Bridge, he could be replaced by a duo comprised of the coach and Juliano Belletti, the ex-Chelsea defender who could come in as director of football.

Barcelona's hopes of signing Antoine Griezmann have been put on hold after the striker received a call from Manchester City.

After splashing out on Philippe Coutinho, the Blaugrana have a limited budget with which to open negotiations with Atletico Madrid.

And City have reportedly already made contact with the forward after missing out on Alexis Sanchez.

Napoli are the latest team to show an interest in Paris Saint-Germain's Lucas Moura.

Premier League sides Manchester United and Tottenham are also reported admirers, while the Serie A team now consider Lucas a bigger transfer priority than Barca's Gerard Deulofeu.

Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere are set to hand Arsenal a welcome boost by committing to new contracts.

The Gunners duo are among those set to be available on a free transfer in the summer, with no fresh terms agreed as yet.Both are, however, locked in talks and are ready to bring the uncertainty surrounding their respective futures to a close by putting pen to paper.

Manchester City are hoping to land Liverpool midfielder Emre Can at the end of the season.

Can has so far held off on signing a new deal at Anfield, and has been linked with a free transfer move to Juventus and Bayern Munich.

Serie A sides Inter and Roma are both considering a bid for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge.

Roma have been put on alert by reported Chelsea interest for Emerson Palmieri and Edin Dzeko, and see Sturridge as a possible replacement up front. Inter, meanwhile, are short of depth up front, with only Mauro Icardi leading the line.

Tottenham are now closest to signing Malcolm from Bordeaux in a deal worth £40m + £10m add-ons.

Everton are interested in signing Jamie Vardy from Leicester City, but they’re unlikely to sanction a bid in this transfer window.

The club are thought to have concerns about paying a hefty fee for a player who turned 31 last week.

Leicester would resist any attempt to lure Vardy away. Arsenal saw a bid of around £20m fail 18 months ago, when even though they’d matched Vardy’s release clause, the England striker chose instead to stay at Leicester.

Leicester City are ready to enter the battle for the signature of West Bromwich Albion's Jonny Evans.

Both Manchester City and Arsenal have shown an interest in the defender, but Leicester are also keen to land him in the current window.

Jose Mourinho has given his approval to Manchester United's attempts to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club.

Reports about a possible Old Trafford comeback have grown, as the Real Madrid star shows signs of discontent at his current team. United could pay up to £352 million in order to secure the blockbuster transfer at the end of the season.

Watford, Newcastle, Southampton and Besiktas want to sign Leicester striker Islam Slimani.

A source close to the player says Slimani has nothing against anyone at Leicester, but he just needs to leave to get more game time.

David de Gea is keen to delay talks over a new Manchester United contract until the end of the season.

United manager Jose Mourinho this week called for De Gea to be given a bumper extension to his current deal, which is set to expire in 2019, although it has an option to be increased for a further 12 months.

Emre Can’s future at Liverpool is still very much up in the air.

Juventus say they will do whatever it takes to sign him when his contract runs out in the summer.

Can is due to hold talks shortly with Liverpool about his future.

Real Madrid have beaten Arsenal and Barcelona in the chase to sign Cadiz youngster Fran Rivera.

The midfielder has opted to join Real Madrid despite Barcelona, Arsenal, Sevilla, Real Betis and Malaga all showing interest in the 17-year-old.

West Brom have joined the race to sign Stevenage defender Ben Wilmot.

Wilmot is rated at £1m despite having made only one League Two appearance.

Olivier Giroud is set to move to Borussia Dortmund as part of the deal that takes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal.

Already struggling for game time following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette, Giroud would slip further down the pecking order should Aubameyang land at the Emirates Stadium.

But Dortmund could offer a way out in a cash-plus-player deal for their Gabon striker, having already shown an interest in the Frenchman over the summer.

Leon Goretzka informed that club earlier this week that he wishes to join Bayern Munich.

Heidel: We were very sorry to hear this. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told us yesterday that Leon has completed a medical. We are losing a very very good player. He has signed a contract with Bayern from the 1st July 2018. We did everything we could to try and keep him. In summer he and his agent reached an agreement, but he wanted time to develop.

Chelsea could be banned from two transfer windows as FIFA investigate the club for irregular signings.

The Blues have reportedly been accused of breaking rules on recruiting under-age foreign players, with as many as 25 cases being reviewed.

Bertrand Traore's arrival in 2014 is just one of the signings under scrutiny. If the charges are proved they could face similar punishments to those suffered by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in recent years.

Manchester United are ready to rival Manchester City's attempt to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, who came close to joining Barcelona last season, has less than 18 months left on his contract and Jose Mourinho is ready to rival Pep Guardiola once again in a bid to sign the 26-year-old. Seri is expected to cost in the region of £35m.

Brighton and Hove Albion have agreed a record £14.1m fee for PSV striker Jurgen Locadia, according to Sky sources.

Progress is being made on the deal with a medical expected in the next 48 hours.

Southampton are interested in signing Spartak Moscow’s Dutch winger Quincy Promes, according to Sky sources.

It’s understood the player is keen on a move to England, but Spartak are holding out for a fee in the region of £30m.

Chelsea are interested in signing former Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko from Roma, according to Sky Italy.

They say Chelsea are prepared to pay €50m for Dzeko and his team-mate Emerson Palmieri, who plays left-back.Chelsea would let Roma have Michy Batshuayi on loan as part of the deal but the Italians are also asking for another €15m.
