Henrikh Mkhitaryan bid 'a tearful farewell' to his Manchester United team-mates as he left their Carrington training base earlier this afternoon.

Mkhitaryan’s switch to the Emirates has been holding up negotiations after his agent Mino Raiola warned that he could ruin United’s hopes of signing Sanchez this January.

Jose Mourinho claimed there was ‘nothing new’ to report at a 12.45pm press conference on Friday other than to say that Mkhitaryan had once again been left out of United’s match-day squad to face Burnley.

But around an hour later, the Armenian reportedly left for the final time.

Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri has reportedly agreed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Chelsea, leaving a transfer fee the stumbling block.

Emerson will earn €2.5m a season if his move to Chelsea goes through.

Leon Goretzka informed that club earlier this week that he wishes to join Bayern Munich.

Heidel: We were very sorry to hear this. Karl-Heinz Rummenigge told us yesterday that Leon has completed a medical. We are losing a very very good player. Chelsea could be banned from two transfer windows as FIFA investigate the club for irregular signings.

The Blues have reportedly been accused of breaking rules on recruiting under-age foreign players, with as many as 25 cases being reviewed.

Bertrand Traore's arrival in 2014 is just one of the signings under scrutiny. If the charges are proved they could face similar punishments to those suffered by Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in recent years.

Manchester United are ready to rival Manchester City's attempt to sign Jean Michael Seri from Nice.

The Ivory Coast midfielder, who came close to joining Barcelona last season, has less than 18 months left on his contract and Jose Mourinho is ready to rival Pep Guardiola once again in a bid to sign the 26-year-old. Seri is expected to cost in the region of £35m.

They say Chelsea are prepared to pay €50m for Dzeko and his team-mate Emerson Palmieri, who plays left-back.Chelsea would let Roma have Michy Batshuayi on loan as part of the deal but the Italians are also asking for another €15m.
