Antonio Conte remains keen on signing Candreva from Inter Milan. Chelsea are looking to enhance the depth of their squad and being a utility player, Conte believes, Candreva will fit right in. Conte has managed Candreva during his stint as the coach of the Italian international team.

Barcelona to make shock move for West Ham's Manuel Lanzini
As their Dembele and Coutinho pursuits seem destined for failure, Barca are now eyeing up a swoop for Manuel Lanzini of West Ham. Ernesto Valverde has shifted his focus to Argentines Di Maria and Lanzini. Lanzini's versatility in attack is something Barcelona could benefit from. A move to Nou Camp will be a huge step up for the 24-year-old.

Wayne Rooney announces retirement from International Football
Rooney, in a statement, revealed that he is retiring from international football.

"It was great that Gareth Southgate called me this week to tell me he wanted me back in the England squad for the upcoming matches. I really appreciated that. However, having already thought long and hard, I told Gareth that I had now decided to retire for good from international football."

Barcelona are becoming increasingly desperate in their pursuit of a winger following the departure of Neymar. According to French publication Le Parisien, PSG are not willing to let go of the former Real Madrid and Manchester United winger.

Inter targeting Mustafi

Inter Milan have made a bid to sign Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi. The report suggests the Serie A club want to take the Germany international on a season-long loan with a view to a permeant £20m-plus deal. Juventus are also thought to be interested in the 25-year-old.

Jose Mourinho doesn't want to let Valencia transfer target Andreas Pereira leave Old Trafford as he sees the 21-year-old as part of his squad.

Tottenham bid for Keita Balde

Tottenham Hotspur are prepared to meet Lazio's €30m (£27m) asking price for Keita Balde Diao. The Juventus transfer target will be out of contract at the end of the season and has boycotted training sessions to try and force a move to the Italian champions. But Juventus have only offered €15m, while AC Milan, West Ham United and Napoli have been rejected by the Senegal international.

AC Milan are keen on Barcelona midfielder Rafinha. The Brazil midfielder, who has suffered several injuries over the past few seasons, is likely to face a battle to nail down a regular first-team berth at Barca. Milan are interested in snapping him up on loan and have already made an enquiry.

West Ham preparing double swoop

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is ready to pull off a £30m double swoop for Tottenham pair Kevin Wimmer and Vincent Janssen, according to The Sun.

Barcelona have surprisingly pulled the plug on their interest in Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

Neymar Update

FIFA are investigating Neymar's complaint over unpaid loyalty bonus at Barcelona. A FIFA spokesperson has told Sky Sport News: "The matter is pending and being investigated. As a result, we are not in a position to comment on it."

This is a separate complaint following yesterday's announcement by Barcelona that they are to sue their former player for £7.8m over an alleged breach of contract in the wake of his £198m move to Paris Saint-Germain

Crystal Palace keen on Burke

Crystal Palace are set to make a £15m offer to bring former Nottingham Forest winger Oliver Burke back to England from RB Leipzig. The report also suggests Palace boss Frank de Boer is also keen on signing Roma goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski and Barcelona forward Munir El Haddadi.

Everton target Jiminez

Everton have made a £27.5m move for Benfica striker Raul Jimenez, according to The Sun. However, the report suggests the Portuguese side are holding out for £46m.

Barcelona prepare 4th Coutinho bid

Barcelona are preparing a fourth bid for Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho that could rise to £138m. The £37m in add-ons are understood to be linked to Champions League appearances and would be expected to be easily achievable, were he to move to the Nou Camp.

Vardy and Drinkwater on Chelsea's radar

Chelsea are planning a shock bid for Leicester and England striker Jamie Vardy, according to the Daily Mirror. Danny Drinkwater could also be on his way to Chelsea from Leicester if the Blues come up with £30m for the England international.
