Antoine Griezmann has issued an apology to the Atletico Madrid fans after the saga regarding his future at the club culminated in him signing an extension.

"The first thing that I want to do is apologise to the people that misunderstood my statements. I may have expressed myself badly or perhaps some wanted to produce headlines where there weren't any, but since I arrived I have given my all for my club, my team-mates, my coaching staff and I am very happy to return to experience another season with all of you," he said. "I will thank everyone by giving it all on the pitch, like always."

Griezmann has signed an extension with the club till 2022

Sevilla president Jose Castro admits that the club is negotiating a deal with Juventus for midfielder Steven N'Zonzi. “We’re in no hurry,” said Castro, according to Football Italia. “We’ll negotiate with Juventus, but we don’t know whether it’ll be this week. I’m not aware of N’Zonzi having an agreement with Juve."

Liverpool and Chelsea are said to be leading the race for Porto midfielder Ruben Neves, according to A Bola. The player is believed to have a release clause of €40M and the club will not settle for anything lesser than that.

PSG are set to go head to head with Manchester United for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to Calciomercato. A fee of £44M will be enough to secure his services!

However, Nantes are awaiting approval from French Football Federation (FFF). The rules state that clubs cannot appoint managers who are over the age of 65. Ranieri just turned 65!

Everton are expecting to complete two signings this weekend, according to reports. Ajax captain Davy Klassen and Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez are expected to arrive at Merseyside before the end of this week to sort out the remaining formalities.

Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches is set to snub Manchester United to secure his 'dream' move to Barcelona, according to the Daily Mail. The Portugal international made the headlines in the EURO 2016 tournament and secured a move to the Allianz Arena but he failed to light up things in Germany and Barca are believed to be ahead of Premier League giants Man Utd in the queue to offer the player a fresh start.

According to the Telegraph, Everton are close to agreeing a £30M deal for Sunderland goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. The player will reportedly undergo a medical at Goodison Park when he returns from international duty with the U-21's.

Manchester United target Alvaro Morata's agent has hinted that a move to Old Trafford is 'very interesting'. Morata is very close to signing for United

Real Madrid defender Pepe is set to confirm his move to PSG this week after the player has reached an agreement with the club. The 34-year-old will sign for the Ligue 1 giants on a free transfer after not signing an extension with the Los Blancos, where he spent 10 years.

According to the Daily Mirror, Alexis Sanchez fears Arsenal will block his desired move to Manchester City. The reports have suggested that Arsene Wenger is not willing to let the Chilean join their direct rivals leaving only Bayern Munich as the only option for the player.

Newcastle United are reportedly on the verge of a takeover by a Chinese consortium who will take over from current owner Mike Ashley who is not a huge favourite among the club's supporters.

According to Marca, Antoine Griezmann has signed a one year extension with Atletico Madrid. The Manchester United target will now stay at the club till 2022 after he committed his future to the Spanish giants in the wake of their transfer ban.
