India will face the Olympic silver-medalists Belgium at the Blake Park in Tauranga in the final of the Four Nations Invitational Hockey on Sunday at 06:30 am.
In the first match of the 2018 season, India displayed a six-star performance to beat Japan 6-0 to start the tournament on a good note. But, they lost to the Olympic silver-medalists Belgium in their second match as they conceded two goals and failed to score even one. Then, they beat the hosts, New Zealand 3-1 to qualify for the final.
On the other hand, the World No.3 side lost to New Zealand 1-0 in their first match of the tournament. Then, they beat the Indian team and continued the good form by beating the Japanese side 4-1 in their third match to book a place in the final.
Before the final match gets underway, the hosts New Zealand and Japan would play against each other to determine the winner of the third spot. After the final match ends, all the four teams will be travelling to Hamilton to play the second leg of the tournament.
