Chelsea's hunt for a new starting goalkeeper carries on with Thibaut Courtois' departure from Stamford Bridge looking imminent. After their cooling their interest for Jordan Pickford, Stoke City's Jack Butland has emerged the next main target for the Blues.

Maurizio Sarri's side must find a replacement for Courtois before his deal finalizes with Real or might risk losing him for free next year. However, Stoke are reluctant to let go off Butland this window as they seek an immediate return to the Premier League.

But, if the Potters were to cash in, the Englishman may cost Chelsea a fee of £30 million. Kasper Schmeichel is also on the radar and has been eyed as an alternative if the move for Butland fails.
