Aston Villa have emerged as the favourites to land Real Madrid wonderkid Martin Odegaard on loan this season. The 19 year old looks set for another spell away from the Spanish Capital after being omitted from the 29 man squad for the UEFA Super Cup.

Odegaard spent the last 18 months on loan at Dutch club SC Heerenveen

After a 665 day exile from football, Aston Villa have come to terms on the release of former Manchester City and Fiorentina defender Micah Richards.

Richards last played for Villa in 2016 in the Championship

After the signing of Michy Batshuayi, Valencia have added another striker to their ranks. Kevin Gameiro has arrived in a €16 million deal from Atletico Madrid and signed a three year contract with Los Che.

Meanwhile, Valencia have also loaned out midfielder Alvaro Medran to La Liga newboys Rayo Vallecano for the 2018/19 campaign.

AC Milan target Man Utd Star

AC Milan are the latest contenders to join the hunt for Anthony Martial. Despite the British transfer window being closed, Premier League clubs are allowed to enter negotiations with foreign clubs regarding the sale of their players.

Martial became unsettled at Manchester United in the second half of last seasons and has seen his opportunities become limited. However, the Red Devils may not risk selling him at this juncture of the season as they will be unable to sign a replacement for Martial until January.

PSG steal Barcelona target

Paris Saint-Germain have reached a £33 million agreement with Schalke for the purchase of Thilo Kehrer. Barcelona had kept tabs on the German defender but the French Champions made an immediate approach and Kehrer is headed to Paris for his medical.

The 21 year old entered the final year of his contract at Schalke and was due for a new contract before the lucrative offer came in from PSG. Kehrer played an integral role last season as the Royal Blues finished second in the Bundesliga.

Schalke Sporting director Christian Heidel added,“In the end we decided to go for the transfer on financial grounds. Particularly since the player’s contract is due to expire next year. A few weeks ago we had actually agreed a contract extension with Thilo.

If this offer from PSG were not to have come through, I’m sure he would have gone ahead with the extension, likewise if we had turned the offer down or in the unlikely event something was to stop this deal going ahead.”

Kehrer was part of the German team that lifted the 2017 U21 European Championship

In case you missed out, Leicester City record signing Islam Slimani officially completed his season-long loan move to Fenerbahce on Sunday.

Slimani has struggled for goals at Leicester and has netted just 13 goals in two seasons for the Foxes. The Algerian was loaned out to Newcastle United during the second half of last season.

Slimani has failed to deliver on the £29 million paid by Leicester in 2016

Keita Balde was one of the few players Monaco have had lately who didn't really develop as hoped. Set for €6m loan to Inter, with €31m to follow if he signs (RMC).

Napoli are lining up a €30 million plus player bid for Torino forward Andrea Belotti. The 24 year old's stock has drastically dipped after a poor 2017/18 campaign where Belotti netted just 10 goals in Serie A.

Belotti was heavily linked with a move to the Premier League last summer

Besiktas are targetting a shock loan move for Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius. The 25 year old has been relegated to the bench following Alisson's arrival at Anfield and manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to consider offers for Karius.

Barcelona to step up Pogba chase

Barcelona are not ready to give up in their pursuit of Paul Pogba and will look to emulate their strategy from last season, when they signed Philippe Coutinho in January 2018. The Spanish Champions are aware of the friction that exists between the relationship of Pogba and manager Jose Mourinho.

Barca may not make a move for the Frenchman this month but will monitor his situation at Manchester United after Deadline Day on August 31. Pogba's agent Mino Raiola will be the defining factor and could possibly open up negotiations in the January transfer window and Barcelona may possibly return with an improved bid for the midfielder.

Following Man Utd's win against Leicester City on Friday, Pogba asserted,"There are things that I cannot say, otherwise I will get fined."
