Mesut Ozil is facing an ongoing crisis regarding his future at Arsenal. Manager Unai Emery has declared that he expects more from a misfiring Ozil to establish his place in the starting lineup.

The German missed the weekend fixture against West Ham United after reporting the previous day that he was sick. Ozil was tied down to a five-year contract in January 2018 and became the club's highest earner at £350,000 per week.

The 29 year old was substituted midway during the second half in the defeat against Chelsea last week and suspicions have grown that he will be axed by Emery if he continues to under-perform.
