What a massive 3 points for Jurgen Klopp and Co. It looked like it would be another frustrating night for the Reds when Vardy opened the scoring, but Salah who had missed some gilt-edged opportunities in the first half made amends in the second scoring two stunning goals to keep Liverpool firmly in the top 4 heading into 2018!

It has been a pleasure bringing this exciting match to you. You can give me bouquets or brickbats on my Twitter handle @ashw77. Ciao and a Happy New Year folks! Let us all hope that 2018 brings us another supremely exciting year of football!

...
91' Liverpool try to keep the ball, but a loose ball by Wijnaldum sets Leicester on the warpath once again. Fuchs sends in an inviting cross, but Karius takes out both Klavan and the ball to give the Reds some momentary respite
...
90' 3 minutes of added time at Anfield
...
89' Another defensive-minded substitution by Klopp. Ragnar Klavan comes on for Coutinho
...
88' Leicester bombard the Liverpool box with successive long throws by Fuchs, and after some extremely shaky defending, the Reds manage to clear the ball away
...
87' Leicester are piling on the pressure again. Can they grab a last minute equaliser like how they did against Manchester United? Some of the Anfield faithful are extremely twitchy at the moment
...
86' Liverpool are fighting hard to see out this game. The Leicester fans are doing their best to inspire their team. Brilliant atmosphere at Anfield!

82' Substitution by both sides here, Liverpool replace Salah with Wijnaldum while Leicester make their last change bringing on Matt James for Albrighton
...
81' Leicester are suddenly playing some impressive football and the Kop are relieved that the ball finally falls to Karius who slows things down
...
78' Leicester are pushing hard after conceding the goal. The Reds have to be careful and not throw too many bodies forward in the dying minutes
...
The Egyptian did superbly to turn Maguire on the edge of the box, evade the tackle and he then only had Schmeichel to beat, which he did with ease, straight into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. A brilliant dummy as well by Milner in the leadup to the goal
...
76' GOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLL! Salah scores again! What a season the Egyptian is having!
...
75' SHOT BY COUTINHO! Oxlade-Chamberlain picks out a good ball and the Brazilian unleashes a powerful shot but it was straight at Schmeichel

...
67' SO CLOSE! Fuchs' long throw causes confusion in the box and the ball bounces back to N'didi whose absolute piledriver of a shot goes just wide. Karius was well and truly beaten
...
65' GOOOOO.......NOOOOO! It is once again Mane who has been ruled offside. Coutinho fins Mane with a lovely chipped ball, but the Senegalese man's finish is rightly ruled offside by the linesman. It was marginal, but the correct call was made
...
64' Liverpool play some lovely football to create some space on the left flank but Andrew Robertson woefully mishits his cross. The Scotsman crossing has been slightly off in the second half
...
N'didi goes into the book for a cynical challenge on Coutinho. The Leicester players are starting to feel the strain
...
61' Liverpool have had 72% of the ball in the second half, can they convert possession into goals? It certainly looks likely at the moment
...
58' WHAT A CHANCE! Coutinho plays a brilliant clipped ball to Salah, but the Egyptian's dinked finish goes just above Schmeichel's goal. Brilliant combination play by Coutinho and Salah
