LSG vs GT Live Score, IPL 2023, Match 30 Updates: Gujarat Titans held their nerves to snatch a come-from-behind victory from the jaws of defeat against the Lucknow Super Giants. Titans defended 136 runs and turned the game in the death overs thanks to the guile of their experienced fast bowlers Mohammed Shami and Mohit Sharma as LSG could manage to score only 15 runs in the last three overs and lost four wickets (all in the final over). LSG were ahead of the required rate at one point, scoring 80 runs at the halfway mark for the loss of just one wicket. They added just 48 runs in the last 10 overs and the momentum was lost with Krunal Pandya's dismissal, which was very similar when Titans crumbled after Saha's wicket in their innings. The defending champions pick up a vital win to get back on track after a couple of odd outings. They now move level on 8 points with the Rajasthan Royals, Lucknow Super Giants, and Chennai Super Kings. Mohit Sharma is the Player of the Match. Let's hear what he has to say: It's all normal. There is some consistency but it's in the process. That's the great thing about this team. You win or lose, you have to stick to the process off the field. When you do that, it helps on the field as well. There isn't a lot to do. You practice and focus on things that you can focus on and can control. Do that with honesty, and the rest will handle itself. There's no point focusing on things you can't control. (Belief in the team) We always believed. From the start of the second innings, right till the end, Hardik kept saying we'll win this match. Even Ashu bhai said the same thing during the timeouts. He kept saying we have to focus on doing the right things and the result will come. I was focusing on what I can execute and not thinking about too much else.

Hardik Pandya: The kind of two games we lost, we were in the front seat, god is telling us, I'm going to give something, tremendous and credit to the boys. End of the day, we're a champion side, the way guys believed at the end was special for us. One loss can break you, one win can boost your confidence with the long tournament like this. The way the wicket was playing, we were 10 runs short, it was slow and low. Lucknow bowlers made life tough for us and we wanted to the batters for long. I felt competitive and the kind of start they got, we were always chasing the game, we didn't let it go. When it was 30 balls 30 needed, they were still ahead and four overs 27 came, I thought we can put pressure back on us. I thought we can come back into the game and everyone contributed well in the end, I'm pleased to be a captain. The amount of cricket Mo has played, I don't need to interfere, it made my life easier and I told him to back yourself and execution was perfect. Shami was brilliant the over before, they were just tremendous as they pulled us back in the game.

Noor Ahmad: In crucial situation we wanted to attack and that's what we did. In first over, I lost control but got the rhythm later on and pitched in right areas. Didn't make any change, kept it simple and the only thing I wanted to do was to pitch it in right areas.

KL Rahul: I don't know how this has happened, happened so fast and that's cricket and it reminds us of that the game is not over till the last ball, and we let the game slip which was in our pocket. Quite brilliant with the ball, 135 probably 10 under par, the bowlers were very clear with the plan and we started well with the bat and can't believe what has happened at the end, these things happen and will try and come back strong. We were well ahead of the game, I wasn't really bat really deep and was playing the shots, they bowled quite bowl at the death between Noor and Jayant, should've taken some chance but it wasn't easy for the new batters to come in and go straight away. The pressure got to us and that's where we went wrong in those 40 overs.

And breathe. Cricket, you frustratingly beautiful game. It was an underwhelming contest for most parts on a surface that didn't allow the usual crash, bang, and wallop approach to come to the fore. Instead, we witnessed a low-scoring thriller in this humdinger of a contest that saw the Gujarat Titans pull off an absolute heist.

If you thought they had no right to win the game after scoring only 135, the game seemed done and dusted when KL Rahul and Kyle Mayers put up a 55-run opening stand at a good rate. The captain looked like a million dollars on a tricky surface and was keeping the scoreboard ticking alongside Krunal Pandya, who played his part to make sure the equation stays in check.

In the last 10 overs, LSG were cruising along, only needing a run-a-ball and even below that for the most part. A couple of dropped catches made it seem like it was not going to be Gujarat's day, but the defining moment came once Krunal was dismissed in the 15th over. The Afghan spinner dotted up Pooran before getting the better of him too, getting his side right back into this contest.

In some bizarre decision-making, the LSG team management sent in Badoni ahead of Stoinis and Hooda, and the youngster couldn't make the impact he'd wanted either. With GT holding on, Shami bowled a peach of an over with 17 needed off the final two overs, keeping 12 runs in the bank for the final over.

Enter - Mohit Sharma. The former CSK bowler bowled like an absolute dream, delivering two incredible overs at the backend of the innings. He got the better of Rahul and Stoinis on consecutive deliveries to completely turn the tide in the final over that saw Lucknow losing four wickets in four balls. The two dismissals from Mohit were followed by a couple of runouts, as Lucknow's castle of glass came tumbling down.

This is a game they had in their bag. This is a game they could have finished off to give their NRR a bit of a boost and also move to the top of the table. But alas.
