Hello and welcome, everyone! After a break, badminton action returns with the Malaysian Open and the first fixture for today on Sportskeeda's live coverage is Saina Nehwal vs Pui Yin Yip.

Saina has been in a superb run of form, having started the year with a runner-up finish at the Indonesian Masters. She faltered at the India Open and the All England Open but at the Commonwealth Games she was the star in the Indian team. She even went on to beat PV Sindhu in the women's singles final.

Then at the Badminton Asia Championships (Individual), she displayed another good performance as she made it to the Semi finals before losing to Tai Tzu Ying. Today, she faces Pui Yin Yip and it is expected that the Indian World No. 10 will ease into the next round. Stay tuned!
