30' Liam Kelly bursts down the right wing and cause Blind all sorts of problems, before striking a low cross straight to Romero. Manchester United charge up to the opposite end in response, and Rooney ends the move with an audacious chip that goes over. If that had been *the* goal, you can bet many people would have purred over it.

27' HOW DID HE MISS?! Carrick produces a superb pass to send Rashford clear on the right side of the box, and the striker's first touch is perfect, rounding Al-Habsi, but he then fires into the side netting when facing an open goal from an admittedly narrow angle!

25' WHAT A CHANCE! Kelly's corner is straight out to Van den Berg yards out from goal, and his volley travels into the box. All Liam Moore has to do is get a touch on it to divert the ball home from the penalty spot, but he misses the trajectory of the ball and the chance goes to waste.

24' A good spell for Reading as they keep the ball in midfield and eventually earn a corner as Jones blocks an incoming cross. Can they make anything of it?

23' CLOSE! After Reading make a mess of a short corner, Manchester United counter swiftly with Martial. The Frenchman drives into the box, and strikes at Al-Habsi, who nearly lets the strike through between his legs, but manages to smother the ball. Rooney who had made up 80 yards and was in space, looks a wee bit peeved.
