Looks like there was some error in measuring the last throw of Neeraj. He actually had thrown the javelin to a distance of 83.18 meters, which turns out to be his best effort.

So, no 85+ as we were hoping for, but, Neeraj gets the much-needed competition experience. Let's see how he will perform in his next event which probably should be in Sweden on 22nd June.

Another one in the 78s.. 78.15 meters with his final attempt. Neeraj wins the title with his best attempt of 80.71 meters in his first attempt.

Yet another no throw for Neeraj. He leads the competition with his 80.71 meters throw.

Neeraj's personal best is 88.07 meters while Ramos' PB is 80.81 meters. Both the throwers are approximately 8 meters behind their PB today. Surely the conditions are not helping.

Neeraj leads the pack with his opening throw of 80.71 meters. 2nd best thrower currently is Leandro Ramos with his best attempt of 72.46 meters.

Neeraj launches the Javelin to a distance of 78.50 meters with his 4th attempt.

There are strong headwinds i.e wind blowing from directly in front, opposing forward motion that is not conducive for long throws.

No throw for Neeraj on his 2nd and 3rd event. 80.71 meters stays his best attempt.
