Orton dropped Rusev with his moves and went for the RKO, but Rusev fought out of it. Lana made her way down and took Summer out as Rusev was distracted. Cena nailed Rusev with the AA, followed by the Cesaro swing, and Cesaro then pulled Rusev up into an RKO, as Orton pinned Rusev to pick up the victory. The face celebrated as RAW went off the air.

There was a little miscommunication as Owens hit Sheamus by mistake. Sheamus then dropped Owens with a double axe handle and walked out of the match with his briefcase. Owens was left alone in the ring as Rusev feigned an injury. Owens got the upper hand as Rusev said he was okay. Owens then superkicked Rusev and walked out of the match, leaving Rusev alone to fend for himself. Cesaro finally made the tag to Orton, who worked over Rusev.

Back from commercial, and Cesaro vertical suplexed Sheamus, but was distracted by Rusev and Owens. Sheamus then took control once again as the crowd started a "You look stupid" chant. More offense on Cesaro as the heels worked in tandem to keep Cesaro away from his tag team partners.

Cena's team made their way out first, followed by Owens'. Cena started things off with Rusev, but was quickly beaten down by Rusev and then, Owens. Cena locked Owens in the STF out of nowhere, but Owens fought out of it and dropped Cena with a DDT. Cesaro then got the tag as Sheamus came in, and Cesaro worked over Sheamus. Cesaro went for the Cesaro swing, but Rusev superkicked Cesaro as the heels were in control.

Backstage, Lana gave us an update on Ziggler, and said there was no permanent damage. Summer Rae, who was dressed as Lana, interrupted her, as Rusev came along and kissed Summer. Summer then slapped Lana and walked away smiling as Lana wept.

Back from the break and Naomi was in control over Becky Lynch. Sasha then tagged in and taunted Paige and Becky, as Naomi and Sasha worked over her. More one - sided action as Becky played the face in peril, and finally made the hot tag to Paige. Paige then took out Sasha and locked Naomi in the PTO. Sasha then kicked Paige as Tamina distracted her, and Naomi hung Paige over the bottom rope, while Sasha connected with the backstabber turned into the Bank Statement as Paige tapped out!

Becky and Naomi started things off, as Naomi was in control. More back and forth action as Paige and Sasha went at it. Becky tagged in again as Naomi caused a distraction, allowing Sasha to get the upper hand as WWE went into commercial.

Becky and Paige made their way out for a tag team match, along with Charlotte followed by Sasha and Naomi, as Team Bella were on commentary.

Cena ripped into Seth Rollins, and called him a suck up. He talked about how Seth made the US title more relevant by being the WWE World Heavyweight champion. Rollins fired back, and was about to leave as Cena called Seth a "joke", and said he always ran away from his opponents, as Seth looked ready to fight. Seth then backed out as Cena said that the real champ was here.

Seth Rollins made his way down to the ring and cut a long promo about the main event at Battleground. He then invited Lillian into the ring to announce him as still the WWE World Heavyweight champion, as John Cena made his way out to a mixed reaction.

Harper missed with a big boot, as Roman rallied along. Roman with a big Samoan drop and a double drop kick to both Harper and Wyatt, and went for the Superman punch on Harper, but Wyatt pulled Roman out of the ring to cause a DQ. Ambrose made the save, but was sent through the time keeper's area for his troubles. Harper locked Roman in a crossface, but Ambrose once again made the save. Wyatt went for Sister Abigail, but Roman connected with the Superman punch to send the Wyatt Family packing, as Roman and Ambrose stood tall in the ring.

Back from commercial, and Harper was in control of Roman Reigns. Harper worked on Roman's arm, and threw him out of the ring on his injured arm. More action as Harper locked Roman in a submission hold as Roman tried to fight out of the predicament.

Wyatt made his way out first along with Harper, followed by Roman Reigns. Dean Ambrose then made his way out to even up the odds, as Roman worked over Luke. Roman threw punches and a huge clothesline to put Harper down, as Harper tried to fight his way out. Roman delivered a suplex as Harper rolled out of the ring to regroup, and WWE went into commercial.

Backstage, Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper cut a promo about beating Roman down, and threatened Roman that he, along with his followers will burn.

Backstage, Lesnar and Undertaker once again got into a brawl as the entire locker room tried to separate the duo. Security finally took Brock into custody to ensure nothing else happened.

Heyman was in the ring, and cut an intense promo, hyping the SummerSlam main event. He then rubbed the fact that Lesnar beat The Undertaker, as Taker appeared in the ring. This brought out Lesnar as a huge brawl broke out. The entire locker room came out to contain the behemoths, but weren't successful. Triple H then barked orders as the superstars eventually managed to separate the two superstars, as Lesnar yelled "I will kill you", and Taker responded with "You're gonna have to!" Amazing old school brawl, as the crowd chanted "This is awesome!"
