Dutee Chand finished seventh in the heats and that costs her a semi-final spot.

Dutee wasn't the quickest to react with a reaction time of 0.148s. With a World No. 1 racing in the same heat, it is always going to be tough for the Indian.

Dutee Chand was nowhere near her best of 11.17. She clocked 11.54. Even if she had come close to her best, she would have been ranked fourth or fifth in the heat and with a semi-final spot on the line, it was always a tough ask.

The Indian sprinter would, however, have a lot of learning experiences from participating in such a big stage.

She will next participate in the 200m heats in a couple of days time from now.
