Mumbai City FC were relentless. Mumbai City FC were rampant. This has been an absolute masterclass from Des Buckingham and his men. A brace from Jorge Pereyra Diaz and a goal from Greg Stewart and Bipin Singh were enough to blow away the Blasters in the first half.

Although the Yellow Army tried to script together a comeback of sorts, Mumbai were too resilient, even off the ball.

The win now takes the Islanders to the top of the pile, two points ahead of Hyderabad FC. Meanwhile, Kerala are still third with 25 points from 13 matches. For Ivan Vukomanovic, this has been a hard pill to swallow, and the real task will be to regroup after the hammering.

The Argentine striker makes no mistake in the one-on-one situation and now already has a brace against his former club.

This is a sensational performance from the home side. Absolute domination. A long ball from deep finds Jorge Diaz, who holds the ball up brilliantly before playing Bipin through. The Islanders are currently second in the league standings with 30 points, but even a draw or win would take them above Hyderabad FC. Des Buckingham's team have been undefeated all season and are enjoying a seven-match winning streak.

In their most recent fixture, Mumbai registered a 2-4 victory over Odisha FC away from home.
