Thank you for joining Sportskeeda for this event. After an exciting Gold medal win last night, Naresh Sharma was the only Indian participating at the Games today.
Thus ends the veteran shooter's campaign at the Paralympics. He would have hoped to emulate his success at the 2008 Games and he undoubtedly fought valiantly. However, tough competition from all quarters ensured this was not to be.
The cumulative breakdown of his total according to the Rounds are 97.7, 98.3, 99.1, 96.9, 99.6, 99.4
Naresh Sharma maitains his position at #40 with a now total score of 591.0
Serbian Laslo Suranji is the eighth and final person to qualify for the Quarter-finals.
Cuiping Zhang of China is the fifth person to qualify for the finals round after a total score of 617.7 He is followed by John Joss II of the United States of America (617.4) and Abdulla Saif Alaryani of UAE(616.4)
Round 6 sees him notch up a score of 89.6 taking his total to 581.2. He remains at 40th
He betters it to 99.6 at the end of 5 rounds. He still stands 40th. Below him is Martin Hall of Sweden.
So far, Naresh Sharma stands stable at 40th. He has a total score of 462.2 and 70.2 in his fifth round at present.
The fourth person to secure qualification is Veronika Vadovicova of Slovakia. She has a current score of 618.4 at the end of 6 rounds.
With the next round of shots, Naresh stands with a score of 40 in his fifth round
Some consolation for India here as Naresh slowly climbs back into 40th place again. He scored a total of 96.9 in his fourth round and 31.1 so far in his ongoing fifth round.
As things stand, the top three shooters to qualify are:
1. Matt Skelhon (GBR)
2. Jin Ho park (KOR)
3. Abdulla Sultan Alaryani (UAE)
He is virtually out of contention at this point
So far, he has a score of 67.9 in his fourth round
Catastrophe for India as Naresh Sharma slips into the 41st position. He is currently at the end of the ranking list with a score of 363.0 with his fourth round still going on
Jin Ho park of Korea stands second followed by Veronika Vadovicova of Slovakia.
Towards the top half of the table, Matt Skelhon of Great Britain seems to be having the session of his life. He stands to finish with a gold medal with a current total of 528.2. He is, as of now, firing his sixth round of shots
At the end of the next round of shots in Round 3, Naresh Sharma gains a rank to jump back into the 39th position. His current total is 265.5 with a score of 69.5 in the ongoing third round
Naresh Sharma registered his best finish at the Summer Games in 2008 when he narrowly missed out on a podium finish after securing the fifth place.
So far, he has a total score of 226.3 (97.7, 98.6, 30.3) with more attempts left in the third Round
India's veteran shooter is certainly struggling at the bottom half of the table. He seems to have slipped into 40th again with the ongoing third round of shots.
The top half of the table certainly seems to have changed. Jin Ho Park currently stands first with a total score of 290.0
Naresh Sharma puts up of 58.2 in his second round, as of now. He gains a position and currently stands at 39th.
Sharma's currently in 39th spot of 41 shooters here. He's shot a 39.5 on his second shot - disappointing for the veteran!
