Granada started well but were blown away by the quality of their opposition and gave up the fight after going two-goals down. Their relegation fight is not going according to plan!

Los Blancos continue their 39-match unbeaten run and are go 6-points clear at the top of the La Liga table. Barcelona have some catching up to do and they face Villarreal tomorrow.

It was James with a double during mid-week and it was Isco's brace today coupled with strikes from Ronaldo, Casemiro and Benzema that capped off a scintillating win for Zinedine Zidane's side.

Real Madrid have started 2017 the way they ended 2016, with two back-to-back wins.

90+1' Granada win their first corner too but fail to test Navas and the referee blows for full-time.

89' Real break with Ronaldo who lays it off for Rodriguez. The Colombian tries to cut it back for Benzema and the ball is cut out. Benzema was offside too.

88' Real Madrid win back-to-back corners but fail to trouble Ochoa and it is Granada who try to conjure their first shot on target.

87' Granada tries to break down the left but Madrid win the possession and try to hit them on the break. The ball is played out wide and James cuts it back for Ronaldo, who takes a touch before connecting his laces with a goal-bound effort and Ochoa saves.

85' Casemiro fouls another Granada player and the referee gives him a talking to. He is already on a yellow and Madrid are out of substitutions. Zidane needs to have a word with him.

84' Ronaldo plays a quick one-two with Benzema and tries to find the Frenchman with a lofted ball but it is cleared by Lomabn.

82' SAVE! Benzema finds Rodriguez down the left who fails to cross in time as the angle starts to become very acute. He then opts to shoot but it is straight at Ochoa and the Mexican saves.

80' Granada break down the right with Pereira, whose cross is punched away by Navas. Granada are yet to record a shot on goal in this game.

Real Madrid have not been as ruthless as they were in the first half. Granada would have taken a 5-0 while coming out for the restart. But do Real have a few more goals in them?

77' Substitution: Ezequiel Ponce comes on to replace Tabanou, who has just been booked.

75' Granada have the first legitimate chance of the game and Kravets blasts it wide, but he is saved by the offside flag.

73' Yellow Card: Tabanou ESCAPES A RED CARD after a cynical foul on Carvajal. He is lucky to stay on the pitch after that foul.

72' Yellow Card: Casemiro is the first Madrid player to go into the referee's book for a foul on Samper.

71' It was James who took it and the Colombian almost curls it into the top left corner with Ochoa scrambling.

70' Yellow Card: Gabriel Silva is booked for a deliberate handball.

69' Substitution: Fabio Coentrao comes on to replace Marcelo, with the Brazilian afforded some rest towards the end.

67' Granada win a free-kick deep in Madrid's half after Carvajal was guilty of tugging on an opposition player. However, they fail to make it count and Madrid win back possession.

Fabio Coentrao is warming up and is going to come on any minute. It will be interesting to see who he replaces.

65' Ochoa makes a good save from point-blank range to deny Benzema, but the Frenchman is offside.

63' Ronaldo goes down in Granada's half and is seen arguing with the referee appealing for the foul. But the referee is having none of it.

61' Substitution: Javi Marquez comes on to replace Uche Agbo, who has just been booked.

James takes the free-kick and swings the ball into the box and it finds the unmarked Casemiro at the back post. He taps the ball into the back of the net and in the process scores his first goal of the season, becoming Madrid's 21st different scorer this season. And Madrid score the first of this half, wonder how many more will they score before the end of the game.

59' GOOOAAAALLLLLLLLL!!! Casemiro makes it 5-0..

57' Yellow Card: Agbo is booked for a foul on James. The Granada man elbowed the Colombian.

53' Madrid continue to dominate proceedings and are on the lookout for the perfect opportunity to land the Sucker Punch!

50' Substitution: James Rodriguez had come on to replace Toni Kroos at the restart,

50' Substitution: Marco Asensio has come on to replace Isco, who has a brace to his name but will not be able to complete a hat-trick.

49' And Isco heads it wide! It was Carvajal's pin-point cross which found Isco and the Spaniard, with acres of space inside the box, couldn't direct his header goalwards.

45' Ronaldo has the ball in the middle he takes a couple of touches before unleashing a tame left-footed shot from distance which goes into the hands of Ochoa.

44' YELLOW CARD: Samper is booked for a cynical foul on Isco.

43' Carvajal finds Modric just outside of Granada's box. The Croatian takes a touch before finding Benzema, the Frenchman gives the ball back to Modric who hits a low shot but it is saved by Ochoa.

42' Real Madrid win a corner and Kroos swings it in. However, it is not of much use as it is a tame one and Granada clear.

41' It was out of range for Ronaldo and he lets Kroos swing it in but it finds a Granada player and is headed clear.

40' Ronaldo wins a free-kick down the left-hand side after his shirt was pulled by a Granada defender.

As of now, Real Madrid have regained their 6-point lead at the top of the La Liga table ahead of arch rivals Barcelona, who will be taking on Villarreal tomorrow.

36' SAVE!! Isco goes for his hat-trick and Ochoa had to be at his best to make a full-stretch dive to stop the Spaniard's shot from going in. Isco found the ball around the edge of the box and took a touch before trying to curl one into the top left corner and he almost pulled it off.

33' Madrid are running away with it without hardly breaking a sweat. Granada have given up as Madrid continue to pass comfortably in Granada's half looking for the perfect opportunity to make it 5!
