We will pick up where we left off and cover Vikas Krishan's fights again. Until then, thank you for joining us today. SK out \m/

...

Join us for the Quarterfinals again on Tuesday early morning, at 3.15 am

...

Congratulations Vikas Krishan! Way to go!

...

Vikas kept moving and kept Sipal guessing. He came out storming in the first round, and put the opponent on the back foot. And when Sipal tried to chase him, he moved around brilliantly and had the Turk overextending, so that he could land his counters.

...

By unanimous decision that too. Vikas fought smart again, and did all the basics right. Sipal was fighting with his guard down, and while that may work for someone like Roy Jones Jr, clearly it worked against him here

...

And...Vikas Krishan WINS!

...

The judges decision to come. Vikas should be moving on the the Quarter finals here.

...

Vikas closes out the round with a really good combination. This should be the Indian's fight! And quite straight forwardly as well!

...

Sipal is trying to hold on to Vikas, who creates separation and unloads with a 5 punch flurry to the Turk in the corner

...

Sipal is trying to throw, but nothing significant seems to land, as Vikas lands really nice left hook counter while backing away

...

Vikas seems extremely light on his feet, and is moving around, getting the Turk to walk into his trap as he looks to pivot and counter from an angle

...

Vikas returns fire with a really sweet 1-2 that lands!

...

Vikas' guard has been good thus far, as Sipal opens up with punches that are blocked

...

Round 3!

...

Round 2 is in the books!

...

Everytime Vikas tries to close the distance, Sipal tries to hold him and prevent damage. But looks like the Indian edged that round too!

...

Close round, as Sipal is standing and waiting for the Indian to make the first move now

...

Sipal is doing slightly better in this round, as he seems to be more agressive , but he gets caught in the corner and Vikas lands a flurry! Sipal returns with a body-head!

...

Vikas is guarding his face pretty well, and landing that sweet 1-2 when the Turk is in front of him

...

Sipal comes out with his hands high for this one. Hope he learnt his lesson. Both men seem to be in a state of perpetual motion

...

Round 2!

...

Vikas has, thus far, brought the fight to the Turk!

...

Vikas is on the offensive to close out the round, with really nice right hooks and one-twos. Sipal gets a nice combination in, but this round should go to the Indian!

...

Vikas has landed more thus far and has been on the front foot. 38 seconds to go in Round 1

...

To be fair to him, Sipal is also landing on Vikas as he cuts an angle onto the oncoming Indian, but Vikas has busted the Turk up above the right eye. The doctor stops the fight to check on him

...

Sipal is fighting with his hands down, and Vikas connects with another 1-2!

...

The Turk is throwing one twos that are blocked by Vikas, who responds with a quick one-two of his own. That lands!

...

Neither fighter seems willing to commit. Both are southpaws and are cautious of the other's power hand

...

And we're away! Round 1!

...

Vikas is in the red corner, and Onder is in blue.

...

And back to boxing action as Vikas Krishan is out, followed by Onder Sipal of Turkey

...

Also, the Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna just defeated the pair of Andy Murray and Heather Watson in the mixed doubles quarter-finals! Woohoo!

...

The fight could start anytime now. The previous fight just got over

...

Onder Sipal seems to be a compact fighter, who seems to like to stay in the pocket and trade. As long as Vikas is able to move his feet and keep his jab out, he should outpoint the Turkish fighter. But hey, that's just my two pence on the fight. We will see, won't we?

...

Charles Conwell was an opponent who was at a reach disadvantage as compared to Vikas Krishan, something the Indian used to the maximum possible effect as he stayed at distance and used his jab and uppercuts to disrupt the American's gameplan

...

His gameplan was impeccable, and more importantly, his execution of it was brilliant

...

No disrespect to Manoj Kumar of course, but Vikas Krishan looked really slick against Charles Conwell, a highly touted fighter from the USA, in the Round of 32

...

After Shiva Thapa was well beaten by Cuban prospect Ramirez, Vikas Krishan is probably our best hope for a medal in boxing

...

The fight takes place in the 75kg category

...

Hello everybody, and welcome to Vikas Krishan's round of 16 elimination bout against Turkish fighter Onder Sipal.
