Chapman is done with his second round now and seems to be going down hill
David Chapman is the only shooter left to complete his rounds. He has 147 points and is on second.
Gurpreet Singh position - 11th
Jorge Llames seems to be building his own house at the top as he in second place after 196 from two rounds. Gurpreet had 100 and 99. That third round will hurt him real bad.
The difference between Gurpreet Singh and Ricardo Mazzetti, the 6th place shooter, is 3 points. But do not be fooled, that is a huge margin.
Spain and Ukraine must be feeling left out among Economic powerhouses there.
The top six shooters are all from different countries - Germany, Australia, Japan, France, Ukraine, Spain, China
The first two rounds were not a big problem for Gurpreet but the 90 in the third round is going to hurt him badly here. Thin margins.
Chapman starts with a 98 and falls into second place. Gurpreet has now gone down to the 13th position.
Gurpreet Singh has been pushed down to 12th place. This is not looking too good for the Indian.
David Chapman from USA has scored 50/50 in his first series till now and is on top.

The last set of shooters will begin their first stage shortly and it will be important from the Indian perspective to see what happens.
Just to recap of what has happened till now - 20 out of the 26 shooters have shot in till now and India's Gurpreet Singh is in 9th with a score of 289.
If one looks at it closely, the margins in shooting are so fine and even a micro miscalculation can destroy everything. Athletes practice for four years and it comes down to one second. Winning an Olympic medal can never be overstated.
The last six shooters are set to shoot for the day now. Let's hope Gurpreet finishes in top 10 so that he has some sort of a shot tomorrow.
Our neighbour shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir has scored 287 and finished his first stage.

Sanderson Keith from USA has scored 290 from his first stage (99, 94, 97) .
Gurpreet has moved up to 9th position now.
Zhang Fusheng has 245 till now - 99, 99, 47. That is some shooting from the Asian.
The Chinese seem to be on fire in this Olympics and they are killing it in all events.
Gurpreet Singh is holding steady in 10th position.
Ghulam Mustafa Bashir from Pakistan has 144 in total at the moment. He is in 13th spot.
Fusheng Zhag from China has moved to first spot now and has scored 99 in the first round. His second round has yielded 50 out of 50.
NOOOOOOOO!!!! Gurpreet Singh has now slipped down to 8th position now as the third set of shooters have begun.
Gurpreet Singh's score is keeping him firmly in the sixth position with a score of 89 points.

That finals spot is looking achievable right now but there are others shooters left to go.
Gurpreet Singh is now in 6th position. This is looking better. Remember the third round is the hardest.
Another German Oliver Geis is going great guns and is in second spot with 245 points till now.
We also have shooter Ghulam Mustafa Bashir from Pakistan to shoot today.
Other shooters commit mistakes and Gurpreet climbs back into 8th position. Still away from a finals spot though.
Gurpreet falls into 9th position and Emerson Duarte from Brazil is into second spot after scoring 98 in the first series.
And we have begun the second round of shooting. Gurpreet has slipped into 7th position immediately.
The first group feature 8 shooters including Gurpreet Singh. Also remember that this is just the first day of qualification as we have the second stage and the finals tomorrow.
Just to remind our viewers, eight shooters are done at the moment and there are 18 remaining.
He had started off really well and things were looking good with 100 and 99 in the first two rounds put him firmly ahead of others.
Stay glued to this and do not go anywhere as we will know in a while where Gurpreet Singh will finish on Day 1 of Rapid Fire Pistol.
The second set of shooters are going to shoot now and Gurpreet Singh occupies fourth place at the moment after completing his first stage.

Make that fourth position for Gurpreet Singh, who has had excellent first and second rounds.
Not so good in the third round from Gurpreet as he is on 44 currently and slipped into third position.
