We will be back with the coverage of the final of the Men's 50m Pistol Final
19:20 (IST)10 AUG 2016
So near and yet so far is an inevitable pit stop on the path to success. Learning to win isn't easy. Have to keep at it.

Just to confirm things for our Indian viewers here, Jitu Rai has been knocked out of the 50m Pistol and so has been Prakash Nanjappa.
19:06 (IST)10 AUG 2016
There is a total loss of words here as far as Jitu Rai is concerned. Only Jitu himself will be able to tell what happened there because no one else has any sort of clue.
19:04 (IST)10 AUG 2016
A drop of 7 points from his 95 in the fifth round and it is all over for Jitu Rai here. This is quite sad from an Indian perspective. Gutted.
19:03 (IST)10 AUG 2016
This is turning out to be a nightmare for Indian Shooting. Seemed in the bag with ten shots to go.

19:03 (IST)10 AUG 2016
That is a big blow and an even bigger choke from the man everyone expected to deliver. You have to feel gutted for him there. He had almost entered the finals but something bizarre happened in the final series of qualifying and Jitu has been eliminated.
19:02 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Oh my how did Jitu Rai blow that? 88 in the final round to finish 12th and not even qualify for the finals - things looking bad for Ind

Huge upset. Jitu fails to qualify for 50m pistol final. Two poor shots in the final series cost him dear.

19:01 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Wow, that was drama at the end for the Indian. Jitu looked so comfortable but the pressure got to him. He will not be making it into the next round.
19:01 (IST)10 AUG 2016
This needs some explaining as most of Indians must be in shock. Jitu Rai has been knocked out.
19:01 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu scored 88 in the 6th and last series, which was his worst score by far of the day. What a terrible time to suffer a let-down!
19:00 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu finishes with a disappointing total score of 554, and that's 2 points off the No. 8 placed shooter. That's quite a collapse from the Indian after being so comfortably placed at the end of the 5th series!
19:00 (IST)10 AUG 2016
An 88/100 in the last round, WHAT HAPPENED THERE???????
19:00 (IST)10 AUG 2016
HE IS OUT!!!! JITU RAI HAS NOT QUALIFIED
18:59 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Rai fails to progress! Finishes 12th with a score of 554
19:00 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu finishes off with a 10, but that doesn't seem to be enough!
18:59 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu shoots a 7 to fall down to No. 12! This is disastrous from the Indian. Things are looking bleak for him right now.
18:59 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Down to 12th! What a turnaround!
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Pang finishes with 565 and is second at the moment but all eyes are on Jitu.
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
He has slipped into 9th now!! This is not good. Come on Jitu
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
And Jitu is down to No. 9 now! This is terrible news for Indian fans. Can he recover in time?
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Rai down to 9th!
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
A 9 again and Jitu Rai has slipped to 8th. Two shots remain, he needs 10 in both.
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Meanwhile, Prakash Nanjappa is wheeling away at the No. 26 position. Not much hope left for him.
18:58 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu has climbed up to 7th but he needs 10s to ensure qualification.
18:57 (IST)10 AUG 2016
This is getting real nervy for Rai! A minute back he looked certain to progress, now on knife's edge
18:57 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu has to score more than 555. It is as simple as that.
18:57 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jitu slips down to the 8th position and this is not good. 62/70 and that was a poor shot. He needs 2 10s out of the three
18:57 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Two 8s by Jitu send him tumbling to the No. 8 position! But he's still likely to go through, as most of the other top shooters have completed their shots.
18:56 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Wei Pang moves to 547 and is looking to finish with a score of around 560. That should be good enough for him.
18:55 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Four shots to go in the final round of the qualifying and Jitu Rai just needs to keep his head level.
18:55 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Jongoh Jin of South Korea is currently at the No. 1 position, having finished all his shots.
18:55 (IST)10 AUG 2016
He shoots a 10 and 8 to take his round score to 54/60 but still remains in 4th. He is inching closer ladies and gentlemen.
18:55 (IST)10 AUG 2016
This is getting tense. Jitu is on 520 and has four shots left.
18:55 (IST)10 AUG 2016
And another 10 brings him to the top 4! 5 shots to go in this final series, and Jitu is all but guaranteed of a top 8 finish now.
18:54 (IST)10 AUG 2016
36/40 now in the final series and Jitu has moved to fourth place.
18:54 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Wei Pang is halfway through his final round. A 47 out of 50 so far. Can he finish with a flourish?
18:54 (IST)10 AUG 2016
And a 10 by Jitu brings him back to No. 5! He needed that.
18:53 (IST)10 AUG 2016
He has 7 shots remaining in the sixth round. Should he shoot 3-4 10s, it would be comfortable qualification for the World No. 3
18:53 (IST)10 AUG 2016
Prakash Nanjappa is pretty much out of contention now, as he's ranked No. 30 with just over 1 series of shots to go.
Gold Medal - Jin Jongoh
