Just to confirm things for our Indian viewers here, Jitu Rai has been knocked out of the 50m Pistol and so has been Prakash Nanjappa.
There is a total loss of words here as far as Jitu Rai is concerned. Only Jitu himself will be able to tell what happened there because no one else has any sort of clue.
A drop of 7 points from his 95 in the fifth round and it is all over for Jitu Rai here. This is quite sad from an Indian perspective. Gutted.

That is a big blow and an even bigger choke from the man everyone expected to deliver. You have to feel gutted for him there. He had almost entered the finals but something bizarre happened in the final series of qualifying and Jitu has been eliminated.

Wow, that was drama at the end for the Indian. Jitu looked so comfortable but the pressure got to him. He will not be making it into the next round.
This needs some explaining as most of Indians must be in shock. Jitu Rai has been knocked out.
Jitu scored 88 in the 6th and last series, which was his worst score by far of the day. What a terrible time to suffer a let-down!
Jitu finishes with a disappointing total score of 554, and that's 2 points off the No. 8 placed shooter. That's quite a collapse from the Indian after being so comfortably placed at the end of the 5th series!

Jitu finishes off with a 10, but that doesn't seem to be enough!
Jitu shoots a 7 to fall down to No. 12! This is disastrous from the Indian. Things are looking bleak for him right now.

Pang finishes with 565 and is second at the moment but all eyes are on Jitu.
He has slipped into 9th now!! This is not good. Come on Jitu
And Jitu is down to No. 9 now! This is terrible news for Indian fans. Can he recover in time?

A 9 again and Jitu Rai has slipped to 8th. Two shots remain, he needs 10 in both.
Meanwhile, Prakash Nanjappa is wheeling away at the No. 26 position. Not much hope left for him.
Jitu has climbed up to 7th but he needs 10s to ensure qualification.
This is getting real nervy for Rai! A minute back he looked certain to progress, now on knife's edge
Jitu has to score more than 555. It is as simple as that.
Jitu slips down to the 8th position and this is not good. 62/70 and that was a poor shot. He needs 2 10s out of the three
Two 8s by Jitu send him tumbling to the No. 8 position! But he's still likely to go through, as most of the other top shooters have completed their shots.
Wei Pang moves to 547 and is looking to finish with a score of around 560. That should be good enough for him.
Four shots to go in the final round of the qualifying and Jitu Rai just needs to keep his head level.
Jongoh Jin of South Korea is currently at the No. 1 position, having finished all his shots.
He shoots a 10 and 8 to take his round score to 54/60 but still remains in 4th. He is inching closer ladies and gentlemen.
This is getting tense. Jitu is on 520 and has four shots left.
And another 10 brings him to the top 4! 5 shots to go in this final series, and Jitu is all but guaranteed of a top 8 finish now.
36/40 now in the final series and Jitu has moved to fourth place.
Wei Pang is halfway through his final round. A 47 out of 50 so far. Can he finish with a flourish?
And a 10 by Jitu brings him back to No. 5! He needed that.
He has 7 shots remaining in the sixth round. Should he shoot 3-4 10s, it would be comfortable qualification for the World No. 3
Prakash Nanjappa is pretty much out of contention now, as he's ranked No. 30 with just over 1 series of shots to go.
