Disappointing for Srabani Nanda, who couldn't improve on her personal best and finished with a time of 23.58. She ranks 55th out of 72 runners.

Oduing of Bahrain wins the final heat with a time of 22.74, followed by Semoy Hackett of Trinidad & Tobago. Both of them had fantastic starts to qualify for the semi-finals.
