And it's all over! Novak Djokovic beats Roger Federer 6-1, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 and will have an opportunity to defend his title at the Australian Open.

Federer is unable to capitalise on a beautifully held set..which means Djokovic will now serve for the match.

THIRD set point for Roger Federer now ... and he's done it! The Swiss comes up in the third set as Djokovic leads two sets to one.

Second set point and he ALMOST has it.. it's a fraction of an inch out, and the pair are now at deuce again.

And he LEADS! Federer back in front at 3-2 in the third.

What a stretch volley from Roger Federer! Novak Djokovic is the first to applaud it.

Matters look grim for Roger Federer - he's now down two sets to love and Djokovic is relentless.

An error from Djokovic and Federer goes 2-5 in the second set! Djokovic is a double break and a set up on the Swiss.

Federer has succumbed to unforced errors again.. he's at 18 to Djokovic's 4 - the most recent of which he just added to his tally to give Federer the point.

Two breaks up! Djokovic's backhand is relentless and Federer cannot keep up. The Serb leads 4-1 18 minutes into set two.

Djokovic's backhand is in scintillating form - and despite some strong rallies between the pair, Federer is being utterly dominated. 3-1 and it's 15 minutes into the second set.

Yet another break of serve.. game Djokovic, who leads 2-1!

Federer holds for the first game in the second set - he's leading 1-0 and crowds are ecstatic, cheering every point wildly.

A beautiful drop shot from Federer.. but it's not enough as the Swiss nets a shot..the Serb now goes 5-1, utterly dominating the first set.

And he HOLDS! Federer's scintillating backhand makes an appearance but it's not enough as Djokovic leads 3-0 in the first set.

And it's Djokovic who BREAKS! He's now leading 2-0.

The last time Federer won a Grand Slam was in 2012, when he won the title at Wimbledon.

The pair met at the finals of Wimbledon and the US Open last year, with Djokovic winning both those titles.
