Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova doubles finals Sydney International live coverage

A great win from the Hungarian-Russian pair today. The two took breaks at crucial points and played some very aggressive tennis to amp up the tempo here in Sydney!

And the Apia International Sydney title goes to Timea Babos and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, who win 6-4, 6-4.

And Babos and Pavs pull out a smashing (no pun intended) winner to take that match!

And that's it! WTA tournaments have a no-ad rule, meaning that the server's point on deuce dictates what will happen.

And it's at deuce. The deciding point. Some tense stuff from Babos and Pavlyuchenkova, and some steely nerves from their rivals. This will go down to the wire either way.

Absolutely great stuff under pressure from the Indo-Czech team. They hold to trail 4-5, with Pavlyuchenkova and Babos now serving for the championship.

Mirza and Strycova break back to trail 2-4 in the second set.

And they break back! For the first time. Some stunning forehand winners off Mirza's racquet today, and she's locked in a tense rally with the opposition. Some of those shots look like they're a hair's width from going long. But they're not.

Sania Mirza and Barbora Strycova just can't seem to catch a break here...literally! There's yet another break of serve in the second set - and Pavlyuchenkova and Babos take it for a 4-1 lead.

Mirza is beginning to play some great attacking tennis here. But there's a forehand that she sends long, and it's met with an ARGHHHH from the talented Indian.

Now Mirza and Strycova are down a double break. They call for their coach again, but they are still trailling 0-3. Not a great time...

And now a hold! Babos and Pavlyuchenkova - or Babs and Pavs - now hold for a 2-0 lead!

And there's a break of serve to begin the second set. It's unraveling a bit here for Mirza and Strycova...

And they have! It's the first set to Timea Babos and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, 6-4.

Babos and Pavlyuchenkova will now serve for the set.

They've held serve now for a 4-5 lead as both teams show some exquisite placement on hand.

Mirza and Strycova now trail 3-5.

There's no break back for Mirza and Strycova here sadly, and Pavlyuchenkova, or Pavs, is bringing out the drop shots like there's no tomorrow!

Babos and Pavlyuchenkova are aiming for the middle, he says, take them on. Strycova agrees and is now discussing Pavluychenkova's powerful shots.

And they're pulling it back now. Mirza and Strycova hold to pull back for a 3-4 scoreline, and there's now a short break in play as they call for coach Imran Mirza - also Sania's father.

Babos and Pavlyuchenkova build on their break, holding for a 4-2 lead.

Brilliant work from Mirza and Strycova there to play defensive shots, but the other team are playing some great attacking tennis here with forehands flying at Scud missile speeds.

There's a great rally if we ever saw one. But that look in Babos' eyes says she means business!

And there's the FIRST BREAK of the match! A beautiful winner gains Babos and Pavlyuchenkova the break and a 3-2 lead!

Scores have leveled up at 2-2 with some power-hitting, and Mirza is headed to change her racquet now. Tense stuff.

Games are tighter now. A bit more of a fight and you can sense the tension in the air. 2-1.

But that's the only point the Indo-Czech pair give away, and scores are now at 2-1.

Strycova and Mirza almost held to love there! A great performance, but Babos sends a mammoth forehand ace there and it's anybody's guess where it'll go. And Mirza misses!

Strycova has a bit of a spring in her step - and she's quite enjoying this match!

The two pairs start off holding serve, with scores level at 1-1.
