The individual trophies are being handed out.

But kudos to Goa and the people of Goa.

The team was one of the most entertaining ones in the competition and sadly they failed to turn on the flair in the final.

But the ground was full. This goes to show the passion the people of Goa have for the game of football.

No engravings on the trophy. Only a laminated paper stuck on the trophy. Now that is really really disappointing. These boys deserve better.

Heartbreak for Goa yet again. The last time they hosted the Santosh Trophy was back in 1996.

Even that time, it was Bengal, who upset the host in the final.

The Bengal players are still dancing on the ground. And they have good reason to.

The trophy is going back to Bengal for the first time in six years and they totally deserve it. They dominated the proceedings. Especially the extra period. And if not for Basanta Singh and his atrocious touches in front of goal, this could have finished 4-0.

The two centre-backs Provat Lakra and Rana Gharami were brilliant as well.

Liston Colaco was totally taken out of the game. Mridul Banerjee should be proud of his work.

The team was built from the back. Shankar Roy didn't concede a goal in 600 minutes of action. What an achievement.

Goa have looked to hit Bengal on the counter. But haven't found much success in doing so.

They created the best chance of the game. However, Basanta Singh, who has been the best player in the game failed to pounce on the opportunity.
