...
It's a dream come true for these players who have never played at the national stage before this. In fact only two of the players in the squad have a full-time job.
...
And THERE IT IS! Bengal's six year wait is over. Santosh Trophy is going back to the City of Joy for the 32nd time
...
Each player are getting their medals
...
Bengal's Basanta Singh get the award for the Forward of the tournament
...
Goa's Cajetan Fernandes get the award for the midfielder of the tournament
...
Bengal's Provat Lakra gets the Defender of the Tournament award
...
Bruno Colaco gets the prize for the best goalkeeper
...
The individual trophies are being handed out.
...
But kudos to Goa and the people of Goa.

The team was one of the most entertaining ones in the competition and sadly they failed to turn on the flair in the final.

But the ground was full. This goes to show the passion the people of Goa have for the game of football.
...
No engravings on the trophy. Only a laminated paper stuck on the trophy. Now that is really really disappointing. These boys deserve better.
...
Heartbreak for Goa yet again. The last time they hosted the Santosh Trophy was back in 1996.

Even that time, it was Bengal, who upset the host in the final.
...
The Bengal players are still dancing on the ground. And they have good reason to.
...
The trophy is going back to Bengal for the first time in six years and they totally deserve it. They dominated the proceedings. Especially the extra period. And if not for Basanta Singh and his atrocious touches in front of goal, this could have finished 4-0.
...
The two centre-backs Provat Lakra and Rana Gharami were brilliant as well.

Liston Colaco was totally taken out of the game. Mridul Banerjee should be proud of his work.
...
The team was built from the back. Shankar Roy didn't concede a goal in 600 minutes of action. What an achievement.
...
The Bengal teams is celebrating amidst stunned silence.
...
PEEP PEEP PEEP!! And that is truly the final act. The referee blows his whistle as soon as Shankar Roy kicks it.
...
120 + 4' -  Goa need the ball. But their long ball goes into Shankar Roy's hands. That might be it!
...
120+3' -  Manvir Singh with another attempt. This was an audacious one. Should have seen his mates in the middle.
...
120+2 ' - And Basanta Singh completes his hat-trick of howlers. Faiaz with ball from the right and Basanta again fails to make contact.
...
The whole stadium has gone into silent mode.
...
121' - Bengal with the ball still. Basanta Singh keeps his calm and keeps possession.
...
And a final substitution for Bengal. Killing off time.
...
Heartbreak for Goa. Bengal nearly seals their 32nd title.
...
And that surely is the winner.
...
120' - GOAL!!!  Manvir Singh scores for Bengal.

Ronald lifts in the ball. Manvir Singh takes it down and slots it home with his left.
...
118' - Santu Singh with a cross from the left. But that is overhit.
...
WOW! Melroy Fernandes, who is a goalkeeper, replaces Glan Martins!

An outfielder playing with a #1 jersey.
...
116' -  End to end action. Goa goes for a counter and nearly get caught at the back themselves.

Bruno Colaco comes out to thwart Manvir Singh who was closing down on a long punt from the back.
...
115' -  CHANCE! Manvir Singh chests it down. But can't turn near the six-yard box. Tries to lay it off but cleared.
...
If Bengal loses this, this is on Basanta.
...
114' - WHAT A MISS! Basanta Singh with another howler! Ronald Singh with another great run and cut back. Basanta with another miskick.
...
Two substitutions made by each team.
...
113' - Substitution for Bengal - Debasis Pradhan who was a substitute himself comes off for  Sannik Murmu.
...
112' -  Glan Martins with a shot. But that is well wide. Shankar Roy not troubled at all.
...
111' -  Brian Mascarenhas hauled down on the left. FK to Goa!
...
110' -  Glan Martins left the ball up. But that is easily headed back by Lakra to his keeper.
...
109' -  Bengal again getting into rhythm as SK Faiaz gets in with some industrious running.
...
108' - Goa looking much better in the opening minutes. But just as I say, Akeraj Martins gives away a foul and comes off the worst in the clash there,
...
107' - Goa with a ball from the left. But Lakra clears.
...
The second half of EXTRA TIME begins.
...
Mridul Banerjee, the coach of the Bengal team would be ecstatic with his team. They were firm underdogs coming into the game. But have played nothing like that. They have been the aggressors and would be disappointed if this goes into penalty kicks.
...
Goa have looked to hit Bengal on the counter. But haven't found much success in doing  so.
...
Bengal have hit Goa with a barrage of attacks in the first 15 minutes of extra time.

They created the best chance of the game. However, Basanta Singh, who has been the best player in the game failed to pounce on the opportunity.
...
AND THAT'S IT! END OF 1st HALF OF EXTRA TIME!!
