Mushfiqur Rahim ruled out of remainder of New Zealand ODI series
Bangladesh were dealt a severe blow after wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim was ruled out of the final two ODIs against New Zealand. The 28-year-old had ruptured his hamstring during the opening ODI in Christchurch and that could also lead to him missing the T20I series that follows the 50-over series.
"He's been one of the form batters as well as the wicketkeeper for a long time, across all three formats, so it's a blow but that's part and parcel of the game," head coach Chandrika Hathurusinghe said.
